I like it, it’s a really nice change. Now will I use it instead of Elvui? not quite sure yet.

I certainly haven’t seen it. You can draw a grid on the UI but you can’t force elements to snap to the grid from what I’ve seen.
Edit mode, then theres a snap tick box now

Yeah the latest beta update.
It’s good minus the fact you can have a max of 5 action bars so will probably stick to ElvUI as I like to use like 7.
As for addons yeah there’s still quite a few that I’d still use either way due too utility such as rare tracker, DBM, VuhDo etc. But like unless they add more then 5 max bars I’m stickin too ElvUI
They did a lot of good with the new default UI, very little to complain about.
I will personally still use elvui and weakauras as my main UI, but the experience for going vanilla will not be bad at all.
I tried a bit of the “modern” setting but my eyes are too used to seeing my health and stuff in the corner so I moved it. I also had to move the chat window up because I play in windowed mode. So my action bars were covering a good chunk of it.
Ain’t got much to critique really. Its neat and I like having an extra action bar.

Centralized is so much better, force yourself to get used to it.

I’m the same way when I change UI bits/inefficient keybinds I’ve used for awhile. Force yourself to use it for like a week and you’ll get used to it.
While I am stubborn. Its very picky about what to be stubborn about lol. So it hasn’t zoomed in on learning to adapt in this case. Its focused on other things at the moment lol
Im playing the PTR Pre Patch that has the new UI… its a big improvement, but im still gonna use my Bartender
not sure why you cant move the pet bar, resize player/target frame or move/resize cast bars
It’s bartender with nice nameplates… I’m 100% cool with it, wish they’d get rid of the gryphons on the action bars though. It took a little getting used to though.

Replacing any addons? Let’s go through the list:
Bartender4 - no, Dragonflight UI only has 5 bars, Bartender allows up to 10 (super important for shapeshifting druids)
IceHUD - no, this one stays, DF UI has nothing comparable
Plater - no, this one stays, DF UI has nothing comparable
Shadowed Unit Frames - no, this one stays, DF UI has nothing so comprehensive regarding buffs/debuffs
Weakauras - no, this one stays, DF UI isn’t even trying to bump this one out of the way (nor should they)
I was thinking maybe Bartender could go, but even for that one, the DF UI isn’t anywhere close.
So the addons stay.
I’ll still be using Elvui and Mapster. Because the base UI needs more bars, some things cannot be resized, and I like to move the map around, and resize it.
