DF still my fave xpac to date

Been alting lately a bit and I really love that I can start with a full set of honor gear relatively easily, via my preferred play method (BGing), thanks to adventure mode.

Professions being really complicated is fun imo, because it’s something to figure out, and if I mess up I don’t feel that far behind. Like I went the wrong way with my inscriptioning, but eventually I’ll be able to correct if I want. Gathering resources has been a fun thing to do between queues for me.

The gear grind doesn’t feel too steep yet. I don’t know if that’ll change but as I mentioned before, once I’m 70 I’m instantly fully geared with enough ilvl that I can begin having fun in the areas I want.

Just being able to choose my content, largely, is the main course for my appreciation of this expac. Making areas of the game I’m less interested in optional until I’m more interested in them was a great move.

The talent system and ui overhaul have really contributed to my enjoyment as well!
Also really like that PvP gear can be upgraded and support PvE content. The gearing system this time is really great!

Well, g’day!

Oh wait lizzard screwed that part up on purpose…

Dragonflight is easily the best expansion Blizzard ever released.

its definitely taken my #1 spot from Mists.

I want to love DragonFlight, it’s objectively a pretty great XPac, but I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed an XPac less. (Maybe BFA)

When the spec you enjoy most (HPal) is a dumpster fire in the content you enjoy most (PvP/RBGs) it doesn’t really matter how good the base XPac is. It’s an unfortunate duality.
