DF is objectively faster to level but feels so friggin slow

It is definitely me but man leveling through dragonflight on an alt has become monotonous but feels very slow for some reason.

1-60 is fine
60-65 is ok
65-70 is a snore

Takes like 2/3 dungeons per lvl. Booorrring

I suggested this before but wish you got a stqcking xp buff per max char you leveled

You could turn it off and they could cap at like 100%.

But like ive seen this stupid story more than enough. Let me just get to endgame

Wish all you want but blizzard already provides a ā€œraid readyā€ boost.

Wait till time walking or something you can hit 70 in one day

This.

Especially timewalking ones since they give 50% more xp upon completion than normal ones, which is coming up this next week. But even then the basic dungeons give decent enough xp.

If only the follower ones gave the same or similar xp, make leveling as dps much faster lol

Telling me the obvious that a ā€˜ā€˜boost’’ to 70 exists doesn’t address anything of the topic. I didn’t ask to bypass leveling. I just said it feels oddly slow/sluggish.

For sure.

I’m looking at the speed runners doing 60-70 in like 2 hrs or something and I definitely appreciate the min maxing they do

I need to find a more optimal yet enjoyable way to level alts or finish leveling them to 70.

Wish they offered more content that you can use to shake things up … like bfa having islands and sl had torghast. DF has… maybe the event in a zone that gives 25% more xp… but not sure what else.

You can go most if not all the way from 60 to 70 just by doing the story quests.

64-70 does feel really bad, I dread it. There’s probably a reason there’s level boost spam everywhere right now.

Is the reason.

Unskippable just sitting there while the NPC’s yammer on and on and on and on.

The NPC slowly walks over to the other side of the camp.

The NPC does a ā€œdramaticā€ turn as you sit there waiting.

And you wait some more.

Oh!

Here comes another NPC.

Slow walks into the camp.

More talking.

Oh joy.

The cut-scenes are, at least, skippable.

But a lot of this crap is not. You just have to go AFK while it happens.

Oh shoot, that is probably it
Before you just went a to b, had variety and went on with each level… here there is a lot of ā€˜ā€˜pacing’’ style questing with lots of talking + some slow walking stuff.

Now looking at a path some speed levelers take, seems they try to avoid those spots.

took me ~12 hrs to level a healer 10-70 with tw and dmf buff
dungeon grinding is the way

Queueing the dungeons a couple times would feel great if it gave you the quests associated with them instead of requiring you to hit spots in zones, because you can’t choose which dungeon you get for RDF and the extra XP for finishing.

I literally just recently leveled an alt. All I did was quest in the zone that the dreamsurge was in and tried to take advantage of when the XP buff bonus perk was active to speed along and do speedy side quests and/or world quests. Before Friday, I zipped around for about an hour and did all the ones about to reset in the non dreamsurge zone. During the weekend, I finished up by doing the fresh world quests.

Don’t do follower dungeons. They are an utter joke of XP. TW dungeon spam is probably your best bet especially early in the week when the geared mains are doing it for their mog quest.

Yeah It’s extremely bad.

Any alt I get to 60 sits there until TW starts and then I spam TW dungeons and level to 70 that way.

A huge bore, like the rest of the expansion

i have 20 toons that i level cap every expansion. i’ve leveled 7 toons to 70 and i can’t handle it anymore. it’s just exceptionally boring to level in DF. plus there’s not much fun/rewarding to do once you ding 70, so the incentive isn’t there. i’m just going to wait until i can level the rest of my 60’s through WoD with Chromie time. WoD leveling was actually efficient and fun.

Yeah, I liked the initial run through … a bit I guess but leveling alts in dragon flight for me has been teeth grinding bad lol

Not even azeroth autopilot helps me anymore so to speak.

This might be unpopular but I didn’t like DF leveling at all.

There’s no interesting story
Kill times get long in the last few levels
No interesting quests aside from the Dragonriding
