Think about it Blizz don’t release DF sales numbers like they do for each previous expansions, tells you they make way less and also Shadowlands did lasting damage to the base and now they are playing better games such as FF 14. Even bad expansions such as BFA and Shadowlands had a pretty good amount of players.

You care so much about sales numbers but then you say “than even SL”, an expansion that broke sales records. So clearly you realize sales numbers is not an indicator of game quality.

The factions being able to play with eachother is another dead givaway. It has nothing to do with people wanting it. Its a necessity because of the lack of people playing.

This whole thread and threads like it are based on an asspull. There is no way of knowing sales figures unless you are a Blizzard employee.

If you don’t run with the pack from the beginning, then you’re left behind. It’s also the same formula over and over: level, dungeons, raids. Rinse and repeat.
Everything stays relevant in FFXIV and you never feel left behind. There’s also player housing, which is a more enjoyable time sink than farming renown. 
Blizz needs to innovate more.
