Not sure, I believe the current plan is that the mogs auto turn on when performing a profession activity and they go away after entering combat.
I did not see it discussed, but I’m sure there will be a way to take it off prior to entering combat if desired.
Someone in Blizz is obsessed with witches. Alchemists are also witches apparently.
And they really need to work on their scaling of that “rod” - someone is definitely trying to compensate.
