Not sure how everyone feels about this topic but i feel this is something blizzard should fix at this point in time. The druid forms that were offered in DF S3 have really horrible drop rates that makes it feel like they are unattainable. Take Moragh the Slothful for example, i’ve been farming him everyday for the past 6 months…and still no drop. With TWW Pre-patch coming soon which means people wont be doing DF content as much, these forms should get either increased drop rates or some form of bad luck protection.
What do you all think?

There’s a few other posts like this I’ve seen in the past month or so, and honestly I’m all for it. In the beginning of the expansion I didn’t mind the low drop chance because they were sort of a symbol of luck and the grind, but I genuinely feel like the chances should be increased heavily now that TWW is right around the corner. I’ve farmed Cian a ton and never got the form, but I got the RuneBear the very first day the quest for the weekly kill opened. I hope we get an increase in drop chances!
i’m okay with that too, but tbh, i want to see more rare forms we can earn…
i want to be different than druids that just get free skins…i think a lot of us want something unique, and a reward to show off a certain challenge. Similar to the mage tower!
Hopefully Delves will give us some more treats, and they continue to add more cool forms!

Trust me, nobody looks at you as a special snowflake because you wasted your time farming something rare. It wasn’t a serious “tough” challenge people admire. You simply had the extra time available in your life whereas many of us don’t have that luxury.
Dunno why you’re coming off so aggro to me?..but this screams "I’m not skilled enough to earn rare or exclusive cosmetics, so I don’t want anyone else to have them - and shame on you for even asking!"
Of course people want to stand out and look cool in World of Warcraft? most collectors like to show off their rarest transmogs/mounts/pets/titles, etc. I still see some of these rare items go for gold cap in minutes on the BMAH as well, also kind of disproving your theory that “nobody cares”.
To imply people don’t care or desire unique and rare cosmetics is so out of touch… i’d be surprised if you even played retail WoW. I still get whispers to this day about my unique cosmetics, and players are asking for some of these to be re-added almost constantly - ESPECIALLY druid forms/skins! (Mage tower specifically - where many missed out for one reason or another, specifically).
Anyway, for the record, I agreed with the OP, in that I think they should not only add more “rare drop” cosmetics - but also add bad luck protection at some point to make it easier for collectors/RP’ers to obtain them…I would just like to see some druid themed cosmetics tied to end-game challenges similar to the mage tower as well!
challenge based rewards are based on your skill/understanding of the game and your class. There is nothing wrong with nerding out in a video game!
I absolutely agree with this take. I would adore seeing more “challenge” forms like mage tower forms, even if they’re things like tier completions for Delves, quest lines, etc.

The saddest thing is these forms arent even cool anymore. Pretty standard if not boring looking forms id probably never use again but feel like i need to complete.

I’ve been farming Keen-eyed Cian for the purple tiger feral form every day on my druid since last November and still no drop. At this point I just log into my druid to get the kill and then don’t log in until the next day out of spite.
July 13th - 249 kills w/o a drop.

The thing I hate the most about Cian is the respawn timer is so long, it seems so inconsistent. I swear I’ve waited a half hour sometimes, but the next day I’ll watch an entire movie while tabbed out and it’ll spawn as the credits roll.
I definitely agree. I have only earned a couple of the rare drop forms.
I don’t want to continuously bump this post with my own comments, but at this point I don’t even want them to be daily or weekly kills. Up the drop chance and just let us farm the mob. Pre patch is almost here and I don’t know a single druid who has all of the dropped forms. It’s ridiculous.
Like most rng nonsense in the game, it could have desperately done with some sort of currency backstop so killing X, even if X is a large number, guaranteed the drop.
Out of any you mention the slothful bear? You need to do nothing but camp the spawn on a throw away alt and just log on, loot and repeat next day. I mean yes 2% is low but if there was to change something then it should be the mob that spawns off of killing fire cultists. thats horrible design.
