Notable changes this week include the exchange of Garrote in the class tree for Shiv.
Cold blood and MfD positions were swapped (hopefully they do the same with Alacrity and Lethality next week).
Elusiveness was changed. 20% damage reduction but now also has Evasion reduce damage by 10%.
Subtlety
VeilTouched and Relentless Strikes swapped.
Flagellation now gives mastery, not haste
Dark Brew is the new capstone in place of Flagellation. Buffs general shadow damage by 20% as well.
Shadow Dance now branches out to VeilTouched and Shadow Techniques.
Dark Shadow buffed to 20% i assume to compensate for nightstalker nerf. Keeps more shadow dance damage with Sub.
Being able to skip premed is a win.
Assassination
Venemous Wounds now on the second talent row. Should be baseline, but this works too.
Tiny Toxic Blade nerfed to 300% damage and is no longer the capstone. Id still like to see this talent removed entirely. For a dot centered spec they really put too much focus on this one ability (Shiv).
Kingsbane is the new capstone. 1min cd instead of 45sec.
2 points can now be put into poison bomb. This means you get up to a 60% chance to drop it (with Deeper Strat). Id still like to have it changed to a charge system off the gcd with charged procced the same way.
Sepsis is now a choice node with SBS as the second option.
Shrouded suffocation is back for easy Aoe opening.
Kingsbane and dashing scoundrel interactions will be interesting. Especially since kingsbane dot wasnt affect by haste last time we had it. It should interact with deathmark too officially making the talent better than Vendetta.
Wondering if Indiscriminate Carnage will benefit from Improved Garrote and Shrouded Suffocation… if thats the case I really think Sin will be good in M+.
I still wish Improved Shiv wasnt a mandatory talent on the way to capstones. Personally id be perfectly happy playing with just exsanguinate. They couldve stuck it off to the side the same way they did exsanguinate.
And also why is regular shiv both in the class tree and spec tree?
Maybe someone can give thoughts on Outlaw changes. Also still wish SnD would be changed.
But thats exactly what will happen as you really cant make use of 2 buffs on 2 different targets at the same time. The heavy hitting nature damage abilities are all single target.
Devs really being stupid with this shiv obsession.
Aye. Would be easier if they just brought back toxic blade for the damage buff and left shiv as utility.
But if they insist on doing it the hard way, maybe they could replace one of the eleventy fan of knives modifiers with the current 2pc bonus so shiv at least does something in aoe.
Inevitability now grants additional dmg to Backstab and Gloomblade. Hope intention was to Backstab/Gloomblade build beeing as competitive as pure Shadow Dance focus build. I would really like to try to less dance on my rotation.
I think the part that sucks most about that decision is that sub and outlaw didnt get anything in return besides utility shiv. But with the addition of kingsblade maybe we can get a Goremaws Bite back for sub as just a big CP generator on a 1min CD.
Have it replace Shrouded in Darkness cause thats the worst ability on all these trees after Improved Sap. Half these dungeons let you ride a mount. Like a 4th of the classes bring speed boosts too.
As it stand Sin Rogue is the only spec that cant talent into 2 capstones at the same time. This could be fixed if poison bomb was moved above amplifying poison in the 8-20 point zone.
