DF abandons WoW’s solo playerbase... but why?

I highly doubt this.

WotLK Classic proved it.

WotLK was made by smarter hands.

That genius is gone by Cata.

WotLK is a bad version of wow. But it works without LFD, and they have Heroic+ now on top.

Wrath was when WoW was at it’s pinnacle. Wth are you on about?

Not because the game itself was good. Bland easy content.

Remove LFD from retail, and with the great content we have, the game will be better.

Yeah…you’d be surprised how this game isn’t just for elitists.

Casuals can manually group form. It’s not elitist to invite people after talking to them. Quite the contrary. Being social is the anti-thesis of elitism.

LFD is more designed for casual play.

There is no LFD/LFR for the Hunts, though. There isn’t even an eye to auto-create a posting in Group Finder.

In other words, Hunts are in no way solo-oriented content.

How is forcing players to group up just to do world content catering to them?

What we have in DF is basically PUG-friendly watered down dungeon elites and bosses that drop goodies. It seems like Blizzard is catering to group PvE players that want outdoor content.

There is a bear Hunt boss in the Azure Span that needs at least 2-3 players to stack to survive a certain mechanic. And if those players are not geared enough and die anyway, the boss resets and returns to full health.

If people can’t solo Hunts, it is not because they are bad, it is because the Hunt bosses are designed and tuned to be like a dungeon boss.

But it is pretty elitist to not talk to people or not invite them at all because they have a low iLvl or lack a certain achievement.

LFD only checks for role and if the toon meets the iLvl requirement. It also gives a 15% bonus to health and damage to help random strangers succeed (although I don’t remember when this feature was added).

Didn’t read a single word, but I like the table.

You can literally stand there, do nothing and get credit.

It’s the ultimate solo content.

So let them do it, while you AFK near Scout Tomul.

If you can’t do Hunts solo, I don’t know what to say. Like seriously an MMO might not be for you.

If you are getting carried by other players, it’s not solo content.

You missed the part where no one was around and the hunt doesn’t get finished.

An MMO where even casual, open world content cannot be soloed is certainly not for me.

If you get credit while AFK, it means you can solo participate honey. Others are there and they can do it with or without you.

Wake up. This isn’t rocket science.

Impossible. I literally AFK’ed rep on a Friday morning once while tele working. Just flying hunt to hunt to soak in free rep. Always peeps doing them.

100% YOU issue. All this content can be solo’ed easily.

Please…please…please…tell me you see the irony in this statement.

“there arent enough options to do hunts in a group. therefor, hunts are not solo content”

This is honestly an amazing statement to seriously state.

95% of the time or more, “can’t solo this world content” is code for “skill issue”

I can’t wait for him to tell us how it’s impossible to solo the soup event. Because he can’t solo kill the monsters that attack each quality upgrade. And there’s obviously no one around ever, because the soup isn’t ever jam packed with people you know.

Very specific and very little you have to actually group up for :expressionless: try again.

Most rares are soloable. The main ones are the siege, centaur elites, some of the grand hunts. Like it’s not a big deal.

Do explain how this expac has less solo content than previous.
They are literally catering to solo/casual players this xpac.

In some cases it’s crap design.

The amount of complaints that are actually about tuning/design are far out-weighed by the amount of complaints that are just skill issues, even if they are presented as something else.
