Why would you solo as a healer?
Sounds like you did it in S4’s catch-up phase to me. Since you know : there weren’t no 4 catalyst charges before that.
Had plenty of fun grinding my overflow. You can also stick to doing the Storm’s Fury event every time it’s up and getting those random gear boxes if you don’t want to farm the overflow.
I was geared way before season 4. Season 4 was a bonus season anyway.
The long Overflow grind for mere Heroic dungeon iLvl is far more painful than doing a combination of quests, rares, and treasures over time for Normal raid iLvl.
I was soloing non-Fated base Shadowlands zone world bosses by Season 3. But does this mean that they were tuned for solo players, and that all players can do it—especially the undergeared toons that actually need the gear?
No Spark refund. No Sparks in 3 weeks despite farming. No crafted gear for me.
I don’t actually want that. Pay attention and you will see that solo players want soloable world content or instances.
Funny, I did it no issue. Full armor set + 1100 in weapon mogs.
Easy.
If you can kill elites in 350-360 gear, yes. Push your buttons a bit. Won’t hurt I promise.
Don’t waste them then. You get 5. And that gear should be better than any else you get solo, so why need a refund ?
You keep spitting on every bit of solo gear there is, so yeah, you want that. Or just trolling the forums from a Classic toon, either works.
But bad ideas come up again and again, as they keep wanting to try to make them work, keep thinking next time the results will be different.
The majority of players are not raid loggers. But I would agree with you this was deliberately designed to slight solo-casual players. Perhaps they were hoping they would take the hint, as the content design for solo-casual players in season 4 shadowlands was clearly intended to convey a message. And it apparently did, as a lot of players chose not to buy Dragonflight because of it.
It’s just to prevent people doing full world clears for rep. Which is great.
Most players and most specs will have trouble fighting multiple elites at once in 350-360 gear.
You were obviously pushing Mythic Zeros pre-season and were only farming storms for transmog.
Your opinion and experience does not matter here because you are not an undergeared solo player looking for power progression.
I refuse to spend any of my 5 sparks until I know that I can get more or a refund is available. We have no idea whether more are coming from questing in Season 2 or later.
I do in fact spit on a hard LFR iLvl cap when we used to be able to get Normal or Heroic iLvl from the open world or solo content.
So fight less at a time ?
I’m Warrior, dps warrior is paper. No trouble.
That’s a you issue.
I went to check and the storms gear only gives LFR appearance. are people just parroting wrong info on purpose?
Multiple people on here have posted that the 385 upgraded storm gear grants the Normal appearance when catalyzed (even though the Sandworn Relic gear in 9.2 granted LFR appearances).
I cannot verify as until last week there was still a bug preventing upgraded gear from being catalyzed.
I went to check the 385 storm gear. It gives the LFR appearance.
395 ilvl would give normal
Honestly, I think this game should of never adobpted Heroic/Mythic raids, rated pvp, or M+(I do like M+ a lot though). MMOs shouldn’t try to be esports, it causes toxic behavor burnout and drops in player count.
You can just ignore all of that and keep playing as if this was WotLK phase 1.
Why do you care? Everything was fine in BFA when 445 gear was droppin from WQ
You seem to have the answer for everything, but when it comes to them being accurate or correct, it’s a 33.33% repeating of course chance of validity.
Just my opinion, but Legion, and BFA had the best solo progression content. Wq’s were better, and invasions were definitely better. SL outside of the covenant sets wasn’t that good imo.
Elemental storms should have invasion quests to them that award a handsome amount of flow and sigils. With a box that also has sigils and flow.
Atm they are convoluted mess.
Where is this solo content?
Unless having to form PUGs for open world content is somehow solo now? Is PUGging M+ or raids going to be solo now too if you use the Group Finder?
The OP could have included many more points but I can’t find anything factually wrong about it.
“DF has so much solo content!” is a preposterous claim that the WoW devs and content creators have done a good job of spreading,
The only truly solo content in DF is the minigame world quests and occasional “kill 10 mob” style of world quest.
Legion, BfA, and SL had more solo world content by a wide margin.
Thanks for checking. I like the LFR appearances better because at least they have a little color.
