Devs STILL haven't done pathfinder

I get the RP perspective. But it still made for terrible game-play.

Yes because the players don’t want to EITHER.

It is not bad… if you play the game you get most of the rep part done.

This logic is astounding.

If they brought back the flight license at level cap for lets just say 5 or 10k and they didn’t buy it, what would you say then? That it is unfair they don’t want to follow the same requirements they are forcing on us?

Half these forums have a hard-on for “making the world feel dangerous again!” And the other half just wants to be able to fly and skip it entirely. Which group of players should they listen to?

I get this, and I get putting objectives in the middle of hostile territory is part of the “play the game as designed” which is fine. All I want is roads and paths that are relatively free of mobs so I can get to an encounter I am interested in doing… where I encounter the dangerous and hard mobs.

“this logic is astounding.”
You have to insult people every time you respond to them. That says a lot. But to answer your question. That’s not something they’re forcing. That is choice. Something they used to have.

They, and you, still have the choice to get flying or not. You’re just salty that the method of acquisition has changed.

Get over it.

You’re not being “forced” to do pathfinder anymore than you were “forced” to fork over 5k gold on every single character that you wanted flying on. Or worse: that you wanted to be able to get the Netherwing stuff on…back in TBC when 5k gold was a significant amount.

Pathfider is a lose lose for the players. You don’t want to farm it out, guess flying doesnt mean much to you. Farm it out, look guys, they love it.

Flying cost 5k for the incremental increases. Pandaria was cheap enough you could buy it right at max level even if you spent every penny you owned before the xpack dropped.

No it really is astounding. Are you even reading what you write?

You just said: Selling flight for gold is a choice and not being forced but pathfinder is being forced and not a choice. Are you serious right now? Both are choices and neither are forced.

Bring in flight for gold every expansion. But I want it account wide. And 500k gold.

That way the lazies and FORCED to do something else they don’t want to do.

Yes because you can just buy it right now. No grind no time gate. It’s your choice.
Now you have to wait a FULL year to fly + the grind. No choice there.

Doesn’t make the least bit of sense but good for you. Quote something that proves flying was never this huge gold sink after wrath and turn it into an enormous one that’s way out of line. 10/10 logic

You’re kidding yourself if you think that if they ever acquiesced and made flight a trainable skill again that it wouldn’t be significantly more expensive than it was in previous expansions.

You do it or you don’t. That is the choice.

It’s been explained by other posters already. Devs think the game is best experienced from the ground and if they had their way in WoD, Flying at all would have been a thing of the past. Management likes to sell $25 flying mounts and players like to skip stuff they’ve done 100 times before. So Pathfinder attempts to appease both groups. We spend some time on the ground doing the content the way they want and after we jump through their hoops we then get to fly around and skip it. That is what a compromise is. No one gets 100% what they want, but we each get something out of it. It’s not a big deal, get over it.

It was 1-2k in mop depending on rep. You got enough gold leveling to train it. You get about 20-30k from leveling now. Is it more expensive yes? 500k hell no. Maybe think through to a logical conclusion?

Gosh what you just described sounds like more of a prison than a video game lol.

Logical conclusion = pathfinder.

Cause its worked out so well pissing off and losing subs. Good thing micro-transactions and whales make up for it.
