Devs, re: the mythic megadungeon

Players asking for trivial content for equal rewards are what I disagree with.

I just dont see dumbing down the game as a net positive.

Solo content, by default, is trivialized. With exceptions being based on twisting some rules. IE…mage tower removing your gear ilvl.

I wasnt thinking this before. But I am now.

Which is why there always no discussion.

You’re just assuming that people want Mythic Raid gear mailed to them for just logging in when that isn’t the case.

What ilvl gear do you want from solo content?

Left to me?

I’d let them get up to one to two pieces of Heroic gear.

After that then they have to raid.

Good news, you can get a full set of heroic end boss crafted gear from just LFR.

So slightly better than what we have now if you never go into an instance.

Or you can get even better from going into LFR.

I’d actually make it obtainable via something like the Carvens straight up.

None of this convoluted medal or marks system just to string out the player base.

Reality is that the game isn’t being made to be fun anymore…just to keep people playing.

So your suggestion is to streamline it, make it easier, so that people stop playing?

Because remember…the key thing YOU said is wrong…is that the game is made to keep people playing. The inverse, is what? That if the game is more fun people won’t play?

Plenty of people find it fun. And there is just as much evidence if you make acquiring loot too easy…people don’t play.

If the game is more fun people will stick around.

As it is less are going to stick with it.

Nah, it’s clearly to add more RNG. The deterministic nature of crafted gear where you get the exact slot with the exact stats you want is just too good for him this expansion.

either that or he just has a visceral reaction to doing anything positive for another player.

And how is “easy loot” = more fun? How does that get people to stay around?

Less people will feel like that their time is being wasted.

You arent explaining where the more fun activities are going to take place.

So people have a little higher ilvl. When do they have fun?

They have more fun in advancing their character in a more direct way than the convoluted one with the sigils/marks.

So your argument is that equipping gear = ultimate fun in WoW that gets people to keep playing?

What are they doing once they have this gear?

I am trying to figure out where the “fun” is in your suggestion that will have people playing longer. When they get this gear…how are they now having fun that keeps them playing? What are they doing after getting the gear that entices them to continue playing? What is the fun activity?

Anyone with 4 kids and playing this game is a poor excuse of a parent.

They keep earning gear in the same manner through more of it dropping.

Then mentally putting people a tread mill through the upgrades.

Anyone with 4 kids is already doing something wrong.

Yeah. If you have 4 kids you are never allowed ANY free time ever for the rest of your life.

Its against the law.

Child Protective Services get called on all parents of 4 kids with any hobby of leisure time activities.

But it quickly stops. After all, you said “just a few pieces of heroic”.

After they get to that point. What are they doing for fun that keeps them playing?
