Devs gone radio silent since WOTLK launch?

To be honest all that blue post is saying is “We’d have to invest in more expensive technology to handle this and we can’t expand what we have now anymore”. They call us “armchair server engineers” but a lot of us run servers too, servers scale up to a certain point and then you upgrade to new hardware if that hits its limits. That is objectively how servers work.

And it’s like… Yeah that’s what people are asking for, an investment. Wrath could be a pretty major success if they put the money in. But they’re relying more on limiting its success and turning people away.

The blue post if you read between the lines, just like how others have been saying, is an admission that Classic is a cash cow NOT a prized bull like retail, we aren’t going to get money, it’s always “too expensive, funds are tight”.

Blizzard should just be honest in saying: “We aren’t going to get important changes quickly and we do get will always be early-access quality or otherwise have major issues.”

That’s what people are saying because they’re seeing with their own eyes.

So weird cause Retail has megarealms too, I’m on one with Area 52. Nothing is locked, and they have endless money to keep scaling it.
