Although I disagree with the animation change. I rather like it, and feel it’s a much improved animation to our spells.
I will say that these options should be put on the barber shop. We need to do away with the glyph mechanic, and just have options in the barber shop like Druid forms and Warlock pets.
There’s nothing saying that we can’t have a section for spell animations. If pets (which are spells) can have different skins, than our lightning bolt should be able to have a different skin as well. And it should be an unlockable option in the barber shop.
(Same thing goes for ascendance forms, elementals and ghost wolf forms)

I keep going back and forth on the new animation- and despite how contentious it has been, Blizz has been utterly silent on like- anything in relation to the criticisms of the new animation.
Full stop, the blue cloud around it is what I hate. Either we get a glyph that removes it, a glyph that adds it with the base effect having no cloud, or- honestly- I may just outright skip playing shaman for the rest of the expac. It’s that bad.
Probably not a super common request but I’d like a glyph that gives us the old “golden” ‘Chain Heal’ spell effect with the jingle. The sound and visuals just felt more satisfying imo.
Doesn’t the new bolt have travel time now? Wouldn’t it be really bad to add a glyph that changes how a spell behaves mechanically?
New crash lightning is a massive downgrade tho.
What?? new crash lightning owns hard, old crash was literally nothing lol. Its hard to believe there is even an opinion that leans that way, first time i’ve seen it at least but its a massive upgrade. Sound is better, visuals are way better and the physical animation of jumping up into the air and slamming down both weapons is awesome. It is not even close.
And yes new LB has travel time now. It would be ideal if they went back and removed that or reduced it as much as possible, then made a glyph that looks different (7.3 ptr lightning bolt ideally) with the same travel time.
