I’m going to love watching the freak outs intensify as tuesday approaches and the Alterac Rankers™ realize they cant rank up without PvP anymore, and never deserved the rank they reached in the first place.
The issue is they’re screwing us with this xrealm crap. I cant meet and make new pvp friends on realm because everyones in bg’s pugging with a bunch of other servers or in the tight knit premades now.
People conditioned themselves to AV and didnt create WSG groups
Then it sounds like you’re not at any disadvantage if everyone had the same experience, so there’s no reason to fret.
You shouldn’t have expected pve drek rushing while exploiting queue dodging & group manipulation to get you to rank 14. It’s quite honestly a disgrace they even let you get as close as you did.
except for the 30 people running premades and controlling brackets… And now youre unable to even attempt to get high RP because its all blocked off unless youre in a 10 man.
the players that can only rank in PVE rush mode should be lucky they were able to do it in the first place.
Blizzard intervened in the right way and the ranking meta is actually back to WSG premading, which it should be and which is how it was back in vanilla.
IF you can’t rank in WSG (but in AV) then you dont really deserve that rank anyways.
EDIT: Also, a large part of this problem came from cross realm. Remove cross realm and alot of these problems go away
Being able to effectively solo your way up your way up the ranks (either actual solo’ing as Horde or as a faceless cog in a cross-server queuing machine) was never the Vanilla experience.
Like, does anyone have a “PvP Guild” on their server? Because those existed exclusively to help make premade WSG/AB teams. My only problem with this new meta is that it took this long to happen…and now people have become accustomed to a non-vanilla experience.
Are you tin-foiling that the developers are changing the meta for honor/hr only after their in-game characters had gotten the honor they needed out of the old one?
Or am I interpreting this wrong?
Maybe you should just join up with that group of 30 people? Or make a new competitive group?
make a team that can compete with the marshal teams running 1.2 mil honor weekly that can easily push 2 mil and ALSO have honor spy so they can keep constant tabs on your honor even if you dont want them to.
You want me to find the pvpers that didnt get invited and somehow get them to grind long enough to get ranks? Do you actually see this as being feasible? Do you know how the server pops work on some of these realms?
Extrapolate your thoughts in your head before you put them on paper to see the angles.
