It’s tough to find anyone to test the raid with. I was lucky enough to test half of HoF and would love to go again. Is it possible to get an eta on a bug fix? Also, asking for a friend, will we be seeing extended testing days. Would be great but not expected.
They don’t really care about it, as it isn’t affecting raids/dungeons. Took days to get an acknowledgement.
I choose not to believe that. They do care and they know we need enough time to get the appropriate gear for the raid difficulty we are testing. Perhaps not enough help in the office today.
You can choose not to believe the Sun exists, but that doesn’t change the fact of the matter.
One of the hardest things in the world to do is get IT guys to work on weekends.
I say that as an IT guy
Big thing is its the weekend and I would suspect any sweeping fix.
Best thing to do is get off panda land. Sit on org or sw for now. An NPC is there that will take you to the raid zones. You can find groups while there.
If its still rough go into an instance and sit there. Then leave after finding a group and use,the same telaport npc. Luckly org and sw have a 5 man to use.
Of course niether of these are absolute full proof. But odds increasers? Yes, for the most part they are.
Good thing this issue is a week old and was reported early last week.
The weekend issue may be true, but its also true that if they cared it would have been fixed beforehand.
Yeah … very curious. Developers are aware of the disconnect issue yet can’t or just won’t fix it. To the extent that they let it fester all weekend. The idea being that the content they want tested will be available IF you approach it correctly. Anyone doing anything else can just suck it … I guess that attitude works in BETA. This ignored fiasco is sending a message …
I mean, that could have been the test shrug
They invited too many people to the beta, and most of them are in MoP world instance and thus causing the disconnects. It’s not that complicated. The beta servers are well known to be the some kind of $5 device
Devs need to realize that not everyone in the beta is interested in testing raids and dungeons. When this goes live, most players will be questing in the open world for at least the first week or two. We absolutely need to test that open world leveling experience and right now we can’t.
I doubt this is just a simple case of server overload. I’ve been in every beta since the original Cata… every time they saw signs of server overloading they added more capacity. There is absolutely no reason they wouldn’t do the same with this beta. I suspect its some obscure bug that’s being triggered more frequently than expected because of the large number of open world players. Tracking down and fixing that bug is a more complicated and time-consuming process than adding server capacity.
???
Beta is super dead. LFG chat is so slow that it’s literally like 1 message every 2-3 minutes. You’re claiming that the server is crashing because of too many players? I’d be shocked if there were more than 500 online, lmao
There were a lot of people online during raid testing. Raid testing ended.
I was playing (as much as I could with the disconnects lmao) all weekend. LFG chat was very quiet and I could not find a single raid group. Even friday and saturday nights, it was super dead. Spent an hour spamming LFG messages and there were zero raid groups going.
Even dungeon finder for heroics/celestials takes 20+ minutes. As a healer.
People are raiding not chatting
and how do those raids form, huh?
Bro is bending over backwards to argue in favor of his nonsensical schizo theory that does not align with reality. Yeah, there’s “too many players” on beta, that’s why LFG chat is so slow that it’s 1 message every 3-5 minutes, and doing /who of cities brings up less than 50 people
