What’s the point of throw glaive for devourer? There are several talents that feel like a complete waste, but require for pathing. (This can be said for other things other than just throw glaive).
For the slow, friend.
Also the class tree is very much not done yet, as there are talents in the class tree that just don’t do anything for devourer. Throw glaive is not a case of this, however, and has a function being a snare.
They need to remove throw glaive from demon hunter is the worst skill from the game, makes 0 sense. It’s just awful and it’s even worse for devourer.
uhhh no.
Throw Glaive is a perfectly fine ability. Good for filling when low on fury or out of range (Havoc). Hugh DPS ability when using the AR hero talents due to reaver’s glaive and the glaive related talents from the havoc tree.
Great for pulling for vengence and just in general when doing open world content.
Because its a class tree and not every node is exactly perfect. I.E you need to take lost in the darkness to path down the right side of the tree else there is no real way of getting sigil of spite currently.
That is bad design. Spite is not even in the class tree now come midnight. Just feels odd the forced talents at the start of the general tree are lackluster for 1 spec specifically. At least Havoc and VDH have a hero talent that uses glaive and other interactions.
I think it would be cool if Throw Glaive actually got a big focus for Devourer. Make it become the primary filler and main resource generator. Then just rework Consume to do no damage and simply gather souls and give some fury.
Throw glaives isn’t a good skill. Feels bad and was poorly implemented. Even the animation isn’t great.
Just pay attention how Havoc needs a last tier talent which turns Throw Glaive into part of BD damage.
Furious Throws ruins it too, btw. Making TG require fury forces us into melee before we can use a range ability.
I’d rather have a Mana burn or something, an instant spell. A ranged opener is better as a generator, not as a spender.
