Could be worse. You could have bought a BoE with your BiS corruption at tier 3 for close to a million gold for Blizzard to nerf it in a hotfix the very next day, or been one of the tanks having fun with that one corruption that made them do a ton of damage in m+ before Blizzard nerfs it into the dirt after saying “they’re only going to turn it down just a little.” More like “Turn it down a little, then bash it over the head with a shovel 20 times and throw it in a lake tied to a cinderblock.”
Or rolled a sub rogue in BFA and gotten all your gear for it to do hardcore m+ then have Blizzard decide to just completely brick your spec’s aoe output for the entire expansion because it allows people to cheese the third to last boss in the first raid that wasn’t even considered a raid tier by Blizzard themselves. For real, they didn’t even like consider just nerfing shuriken combo’s coefficient or capping the amount of combo points Shuriken Storm could give to make 5 point eviscerates not every other GCD, they just straight up removed the entire passive from the game and nerfed the spec’s single target damage on top of it for good measure and make it actually just flat out useless unless you were pvping.
