I think it should use polearms instead of glaives. It would just fit better thematically, since one of your main abilities will be spawning a void scythe from nothing.
Having to put a glaive away in the Looney Tunes pocket and pull a scythe out from it, then pull your glaive back out, it just hurts the overall vibe of the spec. I hate how frost DK does the same thing with the frost scythe too.
Polearms are the way to go.

I’d love to see polearms added as an option but not be required.
Allari the Souleater has been doing it since Legion pre-patch.
It looks cooler than just spawning a random polearm for a single ability.

DHs have already been stealing Warlock spells and abilities, you want us to start stealing other classes weapons too?
Also, “I am my Polearms” doesn’t have the right ring to it 
(Then again I am wielding a fist weapon but hey

There is no such thing as stealing other class things. It’s an rpg, and Allari the Souleater has captured a side of the fantasy that players haven’t had access to yet.
I mean, it would be fair if you started stealing from other Classes besides Warlocks…
Have you seen frost DKs and “Frostscythe”?
To be fair, Allari the Souleater is just a silly reference to an Anime called “Soul Eater”, about a boy who turns into a scythe and a girl who yields him.
A simple solution is they have a shaft weapon, whatever you have equipped/transmogged goes on both ends of the shaft so it looks like you’re wielding a war glaive.

I picked the weapon I picked for mog because I like that weapon. I don’t like Looney Tunes pocket pulls to random ugly weapons I didn’t mog.
