- Gain a stack of Voidfall for each successful interrupt (Disrupt), stun (Void Nova), horrify (Sigil) or purge (Consume Magic). Reward good gameplay.
- Increase the leech triggered from Voidfall and the DoT two-fold (the name of the DoT escapes me).
- Increase the damage of the DoT dramatically.
- Have Voidfall hits generate fury to give the spec more momentum and keep a loop going.
- All “For each stack of Voidfall you have” talents are usueless. We don’t want to be holding onto them. Make them something else survivability-related.
- Basically more sources of Voidfall, with more a reason to chase procs, and to use them. Because as they are, the mechanic just feels very tacked on.
These seem pretty reasonable so it’s unlikely that changes like these changes will happen.

Haven’t seen parses for raiding, but nearly every tier list video for m+ has devourer as one of the best dps. Fwiw, most tier videos have them pretty high on the pvp tiers, too.
They aren’t the best spec for anything…. But are roughly top 5 at everything.
Tldr…. Don’t hold your breath for changes, either good or bad. They’re good enough to not get buffed, and under the radar enough to not get nerfed.
More likely to get aesthetical changes (like a casting idle animation that doesn’t look like we’re about to throw hands), or qol stuff (leveling buffs, health recovery of some kind… I’d say a victory rush mechanic that gives a free instant consume after landing a killing blow, that heals for the damage dealt would probably work for leveling and wouldn’t really change arenas)… beyond those, it’d have been nice to actually cast collapsing star more than 2-5 total times before leveling 80+….and nicer still if it actually felt as cool as the animation, but that might involve a pretty substantial rework of the class and probably won’t happen until next expansion.
Tbh all the classes should get significant damage buffs from successful CC so dps actually use them XD

Devourer is pretty solid. My only complaint is that right now, voidscarred’s best raid build doesn’t even utilize two of the talents it’s designed around (The Hunt and Hungering Slash) resulting in a weird quirky caster build with a dash tacked on for damage amp.
I can’t see a world where Blizzard thinks this is healthy design, and I’m fairly certain known bugs with other talents contribute to this, so I simply hope this gets addressed.
Explain. One stack (not a full stack of three) that we’d otherwise fish for by spamming Consume ad nauseum. So I understand how reasonable it would be, but strong? No. That’s relative.
Be specific with this comment please. Bonuses for spending/triggering Voidfall would remain. This isn’t a terribly difficult thing to grasp, I don’t feel. It frees up room for talents with more tangible impact. Having additional talent to get anything real out of the talent that preceded it is poor design.
My only wish for both annihilator and VS .. is for the initial ramp up to be quicker and for it to lose less momentum between pulls when its a slower group or lower difficulty!
My only ask is to allow the use of Shift during Void Ray so that players don’t have to ruin their ramp/momentum due to necessary movement caused by mechanics. This would help so much with the ramp during dungeons and keeping momentum.
Just give me something even remotely vaguely kinda-sorta even remotely implying survival/sustain.
It’s embarrassing how low Devourer’s sustain is.
