Devour Vitality (Maut Weapon)

It appears that the devour vitality corruption on the maut weapon is not working correctly. The crit rate of this corruption appears to be about 2.7% based on my logs. Where as other corruptions such as Echoing Void have crit rates much closer to character crit rate (for example melee crit rate of 60%). This crit rate is causing the corruption to severally underperform when compared to the expected crit rate of ~60%.

I have noticed the same thing while wearing both corruptions together. Also EV can account for 20%+ of my damage on single target while DV is around 7%.

The corruption not only has a low crit rate , it has a really, really low proc chance. Out of 5 million damage done to boss , 120K is from devour vitality. It’s not worth at all. I cleansed mine after few attempts. Worst corruption in game

I was so excited when I got this and it’s absolute crap - even compared to a freshly 50% nerfed EV

Depressing that it should be at least pulling ahead in single target fights but its bugged and just doesn’t work as intended. They nerfed the life out of echoing void and its STILL better than devour vitality. Not hearing anything about it from Blizzard’s end feels even worse.

This is really frustrating since its the only corruption I have. It makes the game feel horrible.

Any update on this? I’ve seen the same on logs with Devour Vitality crit% only around 4-6%. The weapon is seriously underperforming compared to other spec’s available weapons.

Yep, despite my character having a 40-70% crit chance most of the time, Devour Vitality only crits around 2-5% of the time. The Devour Vitality corruption is unique to this weapon, and it’s not working properly. This weapon is horrible while this bug exists.

I saw some people in the feral discord mention that they got a ticket response to this, so it is known. If this doesnt get fixed i may just have to farm m+ for a non-corrupted item to wear other good corruption or hope for a new & good corruption on a weapon. Yay RNG.

This corruption should proc and ability use, not on a melee use. This is the problem. Since even as surv hunter , I’m not constantly in melee range. That is the problem.

I tried this ability on BM monk, same exact thing. And it should hit more cause my monk has 580K health pool. That’s 200k more then this hunter. This corruption is bugged by a mile
