The new RP-PVP realm is not an RP realm at all. Its all names made by 12 year-olds that violate RP naming rules and the chat looks the same. Bummed. I guess back to waiting in the Grob line.

I’m sitting here watching people open world RP in a starting zone on Deviate Delight. Snap judgements in the first hours of launch day are maybe not the best. Keep in mind that Deviate Delight is currently one of the only realms without a huge wait to get in, which is why you have so much “general population” there right now, and not just RP people.

I’ve always been curious about the total immersion of RP realms, just worried that I wouldn’t be able to stay consistently in role… these queue times may just push me over the line.

its not gonna have grobb’s community, grobb assembled its veterans over the past week or so when servers first released. even if you get some roleplayers here, grobb will be the epicenter.

I also was preparing to be on Grob, but the surprise announcement of DD coupled with the overwhelming population of Grob I’ve decided to try and make DD my new home. I hope the above poster is right about it just being tourists who can’t get on to their realms yet. Would love to see the realm thrive.

OP blown a bit out of proportion. Too early to judge, also, with 2 other PVP realms opening at the same time as the RP-PVP one, why would they join this one if they had no intention?

Youre going to have to wait for the tourists to leave jn about a week or so. Shartlord has been spotted already on grob haha. Did do some rp though while questing. Was fun!

Don’t worry about it, 99% of people don’t care if you don’t RP as long as you aren’t on a kodo jumping back and forth while they’re trying to RP.
Most anyone I’ve ran into is cool, and if you wanna be really careful just type ((like this when you are typing out of character in open chat/whispers @ someone you don’t know)) at least thats how it was back in the day.

Ya Grobb is where it will be. Many will just role on Deviate because they want to play without a Q. Going to be highly mixed with normal PVP players.

I was really surprised by the extent of the bad behavior and vulgar name choices on Grobbulus as well.
Someone had warned me in a previous post that these players were out there. I’d hoped that RP PVP would minimize it, but it doesn’t appear to be the case.

My thoughts exactly.
Have fun on Grob, but my family all rerolled to Deviate Delight and we’re very happy w/ our choice so far. Helps that it’s actually an East Coast server too.
We rp’d a bit on both Grob and Double D, but we actually had others join in on the dubdee, so that was pretty pleasant.

I just wanted to say that I love the server name, even if I’m not a RP’er, and if I ever play Classic, that’s the server I will roll my toon in.
