While it is welcome news that players from low population realms will be able to transfer their characters to more populous realms, this may not work appropriately for RP-PvP players.
There are only two RP-PvP servers, one very populated (Grob), one not so much. If we want to stay on an RP-PvP server, the ability to do a Free Character Transfer from DD to Grob would not work for some of us. Some RP-PvP players will play one faction on Grob and the other faction on DD. Accordingly, we wouldn’t be able to utilize this service due to PvP faction constraints.
We would HIGHLY appreciate the ability to continue playing all of our characters within the RP-PvP ruleset. The only way I can see this being done is if you CONNECT DD with Grob (and not just rely on Free Character Transfers).
No thank, RP’ers are the plague of this game that sit in goldshire inn, the less of you the better. Sure people are already breaking this restriction by having two accounts but you don’t have that so say goodbye to one faction.
They just announced that the lowest pop realms will finally be getting free transfers off. This means Deviate Delight is probably going away. I don’t see why anyone would miss it because it was the ONLY RP PVP for HALF THE COUNTRY, and there still wasn’t enough players to keep it alive.
But I fear the overall object of the free transfers is more to have less servers in general so they aren’t maintaining ‘umpteen’ TBC Classic realms while launching a new slue of Season of Speedrunning servers.
I agree the realms should be connected. This is not vanilla we have store mounts and boosts… nerfs. We have all the bad with none of the good. Connected servers is a good thing in retail. Only reson world pvp still exist in retail…
The argument for connected here I think is that these are RPPVP servers - names are even more important. No one wants to give up their name they’ve been using for 2+ years at this point. It sucks for anyone but I do feel like it’s a bigger deal on RP type servers.
