People want to play this Spec, but by not giving it the attention it needs people will always shy away and play something else give it its own identity one that doesn’t share nerfs from Aug and slapping a mere % damage buff to abilites to compensate it impacts the community perspective alot when its always Focus Aug (not that i hate aug) but it just is better compared to Devestation.
make it dragonrage play uncapped similar to Devourers needing to stay in void form. make empowered abilities feel powerfull again they feel like abilities and that false advitising because you know it says (empowered) in the name. ‘
work on a couple new choice nodes with cool new abilites to replace fire breath and eternity surge for a different feel to game play choice.

If we could just get back to the gameplay with the Engulf ability, which has disappeared, that would already be a huge improvement for this spec. I feel like it’s lost its appeal with this first expansion season, to the point where the gameplay is just flat and bland.
I think it’s a real shame to have to choose between the Aug and the Deva; they really need to find a balance between these two specializations to offer players two choices, even if one is more interesting than the other during a given season.

Give Devasation a unique raid buff…and bam essential memeber for the team
Seems like Devoker will be in the dirt for another season. I haven’t seen a single estimated tier list where Devoker was above D tier.
Who put Devoker into D tier? Please don’t say “wowhead”.
Preheat, their Devoker class writer mains Mage, and I still have different opinions on the talent builds shown on wowhead. Flameshaper is not as bad as written on wowhead, especially on raid bosses with ST damage.
Preheat has never made a tier list afaik. Those are from different people, so they are completely unrelated. Yes devoker single target is “decent” in a perfect scenario, but not one fight in the raid is purely single target.
I’d love to be surprised, but I don’t think I will be.
Archon does offer a ranking of specs based on the highest key level reached, but we’re still a long way from having a class in the D tier.
Especially since it’s based on the number of people who’ve cleared MM+, and the Evoker clearly doesn’t have enough parse data to really create a logical ranking.
When I see some classes with 600 or 400 parses, while others have only about ten or even just one or two, this kind of ranking clearly doesn’t reflect reality.
Evokers are the lowest played class at max level, around 3.3%ish of total max level population. A fraction of that play Devastation and ever a smaller fraction of those will play PTR…so it makes sense there is next to no data.
I’m not saying otherwise about the Evoker, it’s a low percentage, even if it’s very close to the Rogues.
I was just saying that you shouldn’t put too much stock in the third-party list because it’s completely skewed, and you can clearly see that some specs aren’t even being tried, even though they’re played more than other specs, and I’m not talking about the Evoker.
Also, we shouldn’t forget that a class that’s strong on the PTR can end up being pretty average once it goes live.
I tried hopping onto ptr multiple times to test dev and all times there wasn’t a single group in queue. Hard to test group content if no one is doing said content.
do the developers not see the community asking for change - lowest played % class and its a wonder why because we get below par attention given - engage with us in posts to see what we want for talent options. stop tying abilities/talents to Aug give us some flavoured empowered abilities/ choice nodes with different style gameplay impact. they should be one of the most looked at in terms of raw output damage. people are mentally struggling because they want to play evoker but if its not viable in either M+ or raid its gonna get the hard pass unless your idea is for them to be forced to play a healing spec. treat it as how you would a mage with 3 dps specs one needs to be at least performing to a degree otherwise you wipe your player base out who want what is evoker class fantasy.
