Regarding the PvP Developer’s Notes for Jan 24th class tuning.

I know we as a conglomerate asked for your input as developers. This was to better understand your thought process as you design the game. I couldn’t help but realize that your design is garbage. How balance is not appreciated, but your design drives a flavor of the month (or expansion) style.

The nerf to unleash shield is problematic, and also unwarranted. You push totems, which have become poor buffs that are easily destroyable (in some instances not even worth it to destroy) and then nerf their use. When upgrading damage of lavaburst you misunderstand you take an important talent point away from those who didnt choose RNG lavabursts because it distracts from positive talent spending. I could go on, but its a moot point. I as a player understand we are at a boundary of perspective that will not be appreciated by your design of malicious desire. Meaning you wish to change by hindering (self-admitted).

I’d almost now appreciate you leave the “Developer’s Notes” out because at least we were content and cohesive in your unawareness. It was something we could at least ask for that was achievable, not like changing your drive to push boosts for your bellicose design. We either pay or place ourselves to play the same content over and over. Only to change to a class that is designed so dissimilar to what we enjoy for the sake of viability.

Save us the discontent.

The primordial wave nerf is massive even more so then the tier 2 set nerf for pvp, they (devs) have essentially eliminated us from taking a possible mastery overload build in the future which was probably going to scale a bit too much? I think this was the better approach although I think the tier nerf would be the Better choice alone. Nerfing talents is absolutely the wrong way to go about balancing and has long lasting balancing issues in the future that probably would cause more work to just revert if needed as opposed to temporary tier sets. It’s honestly shocking they’re nerfing talents for any class and or specs period.

I see where they are coming from on the resto changes except for the Unleash Shield nerf, it was fine the way it was.

However, I’ve been testing out some builds around the 2K CR/MMR mark in RSS and it’s becoming quite apparent that hard casting healing surge might require taking Precognition now. Getting kicked on it and then nature locked for 6 seconds is way too punishing. Good positioning can only do so much.

Honestly if Blizz is going to be this lazy with resto shaman changes then just give em an extra point or two for each tree and make more stuff baseline

Rss is an ape fest, nothing to test there.

This is definitely the quickest bandaid fix, it doesn’t make sense to me that Flurry isn’t baseline for Enhance and you just have to spend a point to get frost shock

As an enhancement shaman, seeing them buff arms and fury while leaving us in this state makes me cry. +15% healing surge isn’t enough
