Developers are still not getting what made WoW so good in the first place

Omg, get a life with this list. You Blizz shills are something else.

This is a really good note because it shows just how much people in the angry echo chamber have come to believe their own echos.

There is no room for anyone who has an opinion other than theirs. If you do not hate World of Warcraf and the development team, you are a Blizz shill because what you are saying can’t be true.

But here’s the kicker. As much as they hate WOW, these people still pay Blizzard for the right to play their game. Or at least for the right to enter notes in their forum.

Out of curiously. Are you guys seriously asking this thinking that the OP really thought there is false with 20 button rotation, or it’s this jus troll-ish response to kill the Sunday?

Johnny on the spot with a reply, lol. My friend, there is more to life than shilling for this game and this company.

Just remember, bad games like the current state of WoW will never improve, as long as people like you keep defending this garbage.

This line of thinking is just plain stupid too, a lot of us have years of gold to burn through, so a lot aren’t paying anything.

Plus, I got a free 1 year sub from a friend. I just hop on these forums occasionally to see what is going on.

I haven’t touched DF since May.

I’m taking a potshot, but a good number of people responded to me very seriously about how they do :dracthyr_lulmao:

Which is even more reason why they need to stop with this overly complex combat and rotation nonsense. Back when we were in high school we had a lot of free time. We could handle this stuff. Now we’re old and sure I’m sure some younger kids (mainly those whose parents play WoW let’s be honest) get into WoW but MMORPG’s are no longer a young person’s game, they’re for middle-aged people 30 and significantly up and this is just a case of Blizzard developing for a segment they want not the one they have. As we have jobs, kids we’re raising, other hobbies, a life, there’s no reason the game should be harder. I’m not saying that it should be a hand-held cake-walk because MMORPG’s always have had a certain amount of grind and work and that’s fair and I think most of us do appreciate the grind becoming more modern and enjoyable, world-quests being a stellar replacement for stale old dailies among other things. But there’s too much focus on the high end.

Maybe it’s pointless though. Blizzard devs have always had this culture of catering to the elitist raiders it’s just its gotten a lot worse over the years, the time investment, the skill requirement, the dexterity and response speed have all gotten more demanding. FF14 seems to be the opposite here in that respect, more respectful of players regardless of age.

Also I’ll say it. I don’t hate options. I don’t hate having 10 abilities that I’m not required to use to keep my DPS or HPS or Tanking tip-top. I don’t mind you know movement abilities or something like warriors or rogues having a throw that just throws a weapon whose only possible utility in a raid is for ranged pulling of mobs and thus isn’t required to be incorporated into rotations.

And there can be no other opinion than your opinion. Thanks for proving my point.

I beg of you to keep this going. This gave me a good laugh.

Both:

You don’t see the irony here, do you. This is you, basically. Anyone that disagrees with you is in an “echo chamber” or is some kind of moron that can’t see your side of things here.

You basically just poked at anyone that levied any kind of criticism against the game, the entire thread.

This is text book fanboism here, and sunk cost fallacy on display here.

Keep sucking that copium mate.

Edit: Your entire activity feed is you just regurgitating the same arguments, anyone that attacks the game is “hating on Blizzard” or lives in an echo chamber.

Stop making this game your identity, this isn’t healthy behavior.

Also, the fact that hundreds of thousands of players would rather play a 20 year old version of your game, then you have to admit that there are issues with your game.

Modern WoW is the culmination of decades of bad design choices. Sure, there are some great aspects to the game, but the negatives are really starting to outweigh the positives.

People are voicing their disgust for a reason.

No that’s wrong. I never say “The players say it’s a great game”. What I’m saying is a fact, which is that there is no way to tell how the people who don’t use the forums feel about the developers and their writting style.

And I don’t poke at any criticism. If someone says “I like the game but I would like to see a plunger added to unclog drains” then fine. It’s constructive criticism.

But if I see “I hate this game, the developers hate us and ““The players”” agree with everything I say”, then that’s the echo chamber. Why? Again, because they have no way of knowing how the majority of players feel.

Don’t bother, he can’t tell the difference between core rotation and situational abilities.

Apparently even if I only press Divine Shield once in a fight to avoid a mechanic that’s “a part of my rotation”

Can you counter an argument without saying “you’re dull?”

It is a part of the rotation.

If the divine shield saved you from dying, it was more important than any of the other spells you would have cast after the divine shield thst did damage (you know, cause you have to be alive to do damage, so if your dead, there is no more rotation to do)

I only call people dull when they ignore logic, reasoning, and sound argument repeatedly for the sake of trolling instead of having genuine discussion on a topic

It has been shown multiple times that:
-there are no AAABCAAABC rotations, only priority lists
-defensives and utility spells exist in that priority list and are mandatory to survive in difficult content
-you can’t dps if your dead

So yea they are part of your rotation because you need them to pass the in game event (boss kill or m+ timer)

You will literally always “rotate” to your interrupt for Dark Echoes in UR, or “rotate” to divine shield for Icy Buffet in VP (unless your bad), just like you “rotate” Kill Shot for execute or Multi Shot for AoE. It’s all part of your rotation

You clearly don’t know the difference between rotation and Toolkit

So everything you have done while ignoring the factual difference of what’s a rotational ability and what’s a toolkit ability?

I quit in 2009, and came back for DF. It was the only appealing expansion to date. There are tons of improved features. To many to list. There cons.
I agree there is Burton bloat, but I have yet to see an actual proposed solution other than crying to many buttons.

When everyone thinks they’re an expert on what they personally find fun and some nerd gets upset it isn’t the same thing they think is fun.

When we had a jousting daily set up at a Renaissance faire wow had a lot of subs.

Today we don’t have a jousting daily set up at a Renaissance faire. We don’t have as many subs.

Obviously the only conclusion to draw is that we need a jousting daily set up at a Renaissance faire.
