Developer Update: A Look at What’s Ahead for Wrath of the Lich King Classic

I mean you’re implying that everyone who’s passionate about DF’s removal needs some sort of decency or respect paid to them for their loss.

They haven’t exactly gone out of their way to earn that, if you haven’t noticed in this very post, even between our conversation.

This is a game. That’s the point. They aren’t comparable either way.

Losing DF does not actually affect freedom. You can go play another game.

and I am and will, but till July I’ll keep posting.

I subbed just to play LK and Blizz pulled a switch-o-ro so I plan to keep posting my displeasure till then
Still comes down to deleting a choice we had in original LK and it’s being taken away for “integrity” something blizzard has proven again and again it has none of.

I actually wasn’t even remotely referencing it, since it’s horrible and I don’t feel it’s appropriate for a discussion on a video game, but if you thought of it…

Maybe that should tell you something.

Except you don’t want me to be able to use LFD to find groups.

To you, yes. To many others no. Blizzard seems to think like the way we make groups now is somehow engaging or social, but it really isn’t.

Uh, what? Anti-LFD players are the ones saying players should have to only be able to find groups by spamming LFG.

Blizz will simply string players along until then by not giving a definitive answer either way. As long as the chance exists, some players will stick around.

I have 3 days left, myself. Then this place will be rid of me.

If not for my guild I’d have unsubbed too. I’m largely raid logging as is.

I never said anything about “spamming lfg”.

You simply have to form a group without the help of an automatic tool, because what is lost by using that tool damages the integrity of Blizzards game design.

A core pillar.

No rally why are you guys still responding to zipzo he’s an obvious troll.

Give it 6 months til all these losers get tired of the lack of players and lfd gets added back again. Already been through this on pservers. It’s laughable.

I took the sub off both my account few nights ago when blizz first posted this thread, (had 2 since Late BC) at this point I realized between them deleting my Main of years RSV and now jacking around with LK they are just not worth it. (and why I have 0 respect for them ,any game maker that does not realize how much a person gets attached to a toon they spent years on and just wipes it out, just shows how little they respect the players. (Even GC made a post near the end of his run about learning that lesson (major class changes), too bad the new guard were too dense to learn that).

Blizzard damaged their own game design, not LFD, a staple of modern MMOs.

Blizzard probably used Pillar, because it makes one think of Pillock.

the change to no RDF wasn’t enough to make me quit but the proposals and seeing their thoughts on what they may add to further remove the LK I was hoping for and replace it with some weird façade of a game probably will.

I really really don’t like that they’re looking to add a bunch of potential stuff under #somechanges now instead of in other classic iterations. Mainly why now? why are they doing this big things now? I can’t really buy into this “pillars” concept when so many choices they have made have seemed antithetical to their own pillars concept. The Addition of a directly retail feature, the “new” LFG interface really just unsettles me and further removes LK from a classic mindset for me.

If you want to do the whole thing over using #nochanges, I would be totally down, but that ship sailed so long ago and so many of you have non-stop argued for changes all up and down the past two expansion. This is simply the bed that was made.

Maybe should have listened to #nochanges crowd back before Classic Era released and maybe we wouldn’t be here…

Ironically, no-LFD was a position a lot of the people champion no changes held.

I uh, didn’t push for any changes in any form of classic, ironically enough the only change I’m pushing for is the reverting of the removal of LFD

Yeah I didn’t say all of you…but a lot did.

Look no further than the GIGANTIC storied history behind the push for dual spec in TBC.

Bets how many of those who were pushing for it are also mad about DF removal?

They know who they are.

“Hey, I know this change is terrible for you, but just think it hurts other people too!”

“no true Scotsman”

Nobody is actually hurt by this change. It’s a game. In this context, changes for the greater good can be justified.

You don’t know what the NTS fallacy is if that’s what you got.

ya we have to take your choice away it’s for the “greater good”… where have I heard that so many times before…

*blizzard thinking they know so much more that the players and telling them what they want has worked out soooooo well recently hasn’t it… /s

(old blizzard earned some trust on this and might have gotten away with it (granted they were big enough to admit when they messed up and a lot faster at doing it) , new blizzard nope)

You mean you’re not hurt (crap on everyone else you got yours) by this change, people that wanted LK as LK was the first time time around are “hurt”…
