Oh yes. I’m looking forward to hearing from them. Their logic was reasonable, yes, but they forgot Microsoft is at the helm now and should have shown reason for concern.
I was wondering how they would justify adding another currency. Looks like they knew it would be a point of contention as well, since it’s in the article.
The way the article justifies it is insufficient though. Sorry. Outrage earned for now.
No, I actually enjoy running m+ (even with this trash dungeon pool), gearing alts etc. I don’t run a ton of old content, only every now and again when I get the itch for mount collecting. I don’t do professions, I don’t do world quests
Kind of like some of the only unique and heavily thematic sets like the new Valkyr stuff, (That should have been a DK tier set) went to the store for $35, or anything that a hunter can use that doesn’t have ludicrous looking boots with toe spikes. Even then, the San’layn set they released was clipping terribly, and they manually changed it on the promo page.
How do you earn the gold to run M+?
There are repairs and consumables, enchants and gems. Even gearing up Meri was expensive.
Gotta love that last open ended statement. ![]()
“We currently have no plans to use it for the Trading Post, mounts, transmogs, or pets.”
RI-i-ight….lmao
I work for 45 minutes and buy a token ![]()
Not the greatest choice, but it is what it is. But I won’t pay for housing decor
I even liked the valkyr/sanlayn sets but I cant bring myself to give blizz more money as they continue to give worse products and more store items
Get rid of this.
Battle.net balance is good enough, and makes a lot more sense since it’s directly integrated into the WoW token system.
There’s a good chance that I’d purchase housing decor with bnet balance, as I already buy a lot of store items with bnet balance. There’s a 0% chance I’ll attempt to convert it into a different currency type that I have to buy in bundles. At least with bnet balance, I can re-use leftovers with all sorts of blizzard products and games–can’t do that with Hearthsteel.
I hope those of you at Blizz HQ making this decision completely 100% agree when a car company makes you subscribe and pay monthly to use features inside the car you paid for.
Oof. How about No? This is just another tactic to get people to spend real money on housing stuff that should just be obtainable in-game via in-game activity. The nonsense of using a new currency to ‘simplify’ purchasing housing items (like multiple chairs) sounds like something an MBA in your accounting department gave you to say to justify this. This is gross, and that says a lot coming from a guy who has spent a ton of money on mounts and mog on the current cash shop.
Literally a whole family just un-subed because of this cash grab. we pay a monthly sub to stay away from micro transactions…..whats the point in pay a sub at this point? time for the tribe to look for something different. Thanks for helping destroy what many of us love.
Just future plans ![]()
So you are willing to work for quote “45 minutes” to play just M+, but not, what, 10 seconds to buy a gnome?
Do they count as plans if they know theyre already going to do it?
Is it wrong to find this all hilarious?
Been saying since housing was announced that it was going to be milked as a new cash cow. Here it is lol.
My take is that they’ll add Tenders as a purchase option.
Wait does this mean you have to pay for every instance of an item, like each of the same chair?
Correct. As odd as it sounds, that’s where I draw the line
