OK so the last time I played as a port warrior, it was in Legion and I remember running devastator as a talent but it had a weird janky play style where you would have to wait for your auto attack to go off before you can start using abilities, i had to download an addon to track it and basically just all around hated it. Was wondering did this get patched out in BFA at all? in other words can I just let devastator do it’s thing and not have to worry about when I’m auto attacking to get full use out of the talent. Tried googling to get a straight answer on this but couldn’t find anything on the topic.
As far as I know there is no need to track Devastator specifically. The talent is more of a convenience rather than a mechanic to build around. It turns something we would have to use GCDs on into something that happens automatically. No extra consideration required.

This was such a ridiculously small thing. Laughably so, considering you are or were remotely worked up about it.
I’m not sure what the talent used to do, but the current iteration just takes Devastator out of your rotation as a filler and gives your auto attacks a chance to reset shield slam. No tracking involved.
