Devastation survivability

Devastation survivability is extremely lacking. So lacking that I find it easier to survive playing a mage. Evoker as are dragons. Dragons are fierce and strong creatures. Devastation needs better survival options. I can think of one right away that would help tons. Living flame is both offensive and defensive. When it is being used offensively sure keep that five year cast time. But it should be fifty percent faster to cast on ourselves.

I tend to play Aug for Evoker, just cause I like Support playstyle. But when I was playing Dev I did notice it could get a bit squishy at times.

Unless we plan cauterizing flame perfectly there are times when we just die. No way to prevent it. Sucks

some classes are squishier than others. that’s the game.

No crap Sherlock but we’re talking about dragons. Dragons shouldn’t be squishier than mages.

Hunters: “Are we joke to you? Once your 2 defensives are gone, you’re screwed. Welcome to the club.”

But hey, at least you’re kinda good against physical damage, so that’s something. But yeah, magic melts you.

In my defense I don’t play hunters. My knowledge of hunters is you have pets and shoot stuff. So if you’re as bad off as we are then I feel for you. It sucks

Hint: they aren’t dragons.

They are more dragon than the rest of you. Neltharions blood flows in their veins.

And yet. still not dragons.

Lol still not dragons…

They’re dragon-like, but not full blooded dragons.

So no reason why you shouldn’t be squishy as per fantasy.

Design and tuning wise, idk, I don’t main evoker. Maybe they could use a buff, maybe not.

Neltharion was going insane when he made you. Maybe he forgot to add more drangony bits before he stuck you all in the oven to bake.

It’s kind of weird, but as a healer, I tend to see the mail wearing classes as squishier than others. Seems like shaman, evokers and hunters are all a bit lacking in personal defensives.

Well Mage has more defensive uptime with their barriers and an immunity through Ice Block, so that’s to be expected.

Dev is an upfront burst style glass cannon.

Like MM Hunter. All damage and not much else

It’s always been my experience to see cloth wearers being a bit tankier then plate wearers. Course if you get a cloth wearer outside of their defensive cooldowns they melt pretty quickly.

They need a look at their personal defensives, though if some people are to be believed hunters have perfectly good defensives and everyone saying they don’t are bad lol
