Is it just me or is has it been very difficult to get invited to keys as Devastation? I feel I’m a competent player and I’ve taken the time to learn the important kicks. I try to be helpful with my utility where I can but at the end of the day, I struggle to find an invite to a key.
I’ve never been removed from a key group before today. My key leader invited someone, and they immediately asked for me to be removed. Is anyone else, playing Dev, experiencing this too? I’m super confused because I’m not trying to apply to anything beyond what I’m capable of. I’m in line with where my gear and score says I should be.

There’s a lot of people that just simply don’t want Evokers in their groups, even if they are geared/have good IO scoring. I think we suffer from the same issue that Hunters do when it comes to getting into groups; people generally think Evoker players/Evoker Class aren’t very good, it’s just as hard for me to find groups sometimes as a Preservation Evoker because of a similar reason; Preservation is a higher skill cap spec, and most people are bad at it. Even though I am IL 390 with a high rating, I still get declined.

Everyone who is not “Meta” suffers this, something to get used to.
Only way to avoid is make your own key, or run with a group of Guild/Friends
They should put some mythic levels into the LFG. They could start with M0 at least. Honestly i never bothered for mythic and never will. Only times i did mythics was with my tank characters, rest of the time never got invited, so i gave up.
Prefer doing solo shuffle, bg, or LFR at this point
From what I understand, Evokers have already cultivated a rep of being mostly bad player output, and it’s a dice roll whether or not you’ll get one of the rare “good ones”. I have a handful of post-dungeon whispers from people going “huh, that’s the first time I saw evoker DPS well”.
I think the only time people are willing to take a chance on us is when they are desperate for bloodlust and our rating and item level are slightly higher than the group average. Join a guild, y’all.
Overgear them. Outrate them. Out DPS them.
We bring lust and (some)range and that’s literally about it, as a DPS, you got to STAND OUT or else you’re just one in the dozens of DPS that apply.
