If you don’t like the dracthyr then I think you basically have your main choice here.
Now if you want to look past the race itself, I think Deva is super fun to play personally.
They have been buffing its damage output a lot, and the hero talents feel great imo.
Warlock will give you more options if you are looking at going pure DPS, though I would point that Devastation can be an absolute monster thanks to how it’s master works (IE bursting Huge) in Keys.
I’d say something about Aug but You strike me as being way more about the Big numbers then the kind of playstyle it offers.
Probably should’ve mentioned that it’s relevant to the content you’re doing. Of course someone isn’t going to care what spec you are playing in normal raids and heroic dungeons lol.
This is something I’ve been struggling with every time I entertain the idea of playing evoker. Aren’t you being selfish for choosing to join a group as devastation instead of augmentation? Because even if nobody’s asking you to switch, you’d still be making the tank and healer’s job safer as augmentation, yet you’re choosing not to do it with your spec choice.
Like most dps who don’t take utility above damage, even tho that utility might make it easier for the group as a whole? Or specs during Afflicted week that could help with dispels but chose to leave it all on the healer?
When all other specs are playing selflessly, we can start asking evokers to switch if they didn’t join as aug.
As in at least above a 20? Nobody is going to ask you to switch for low keys as it still simply isn’t needed to be aware of what spec you are. You don’t even need to think about comp in a 20 unless it was an incorp week or something.
Depends on the content bracket you’re in. Unless it’s really early season I’d say that you’d get more milage from Dev. It’s overkill to be augmentation evoker in like a +6 or something lol.
Well, yeah. I don’t know why people would make their choices a group problem for any of those. Admittedly I might just be paranoid about letting people down but I don’t think that negates the question.
