Dev Squishy

Is it just me or is Dev really squishy? I pop all of my defensives and try to hover away and i still just die sooo fast. Warriors, DKs, and DHs are impossible to kite or stay away from and they kill me soo fast its not even funny. The short range on abilities puts a huge target on us and it just sucks. Evokers tell me what you guys do to stay alive. I am pretty much almost in full honor gear and its like i dont have any gear.

I could only pvp as preservation in DF. Which was fun actually. No problem to survive

Take it from a guy that mained Evoker most of DF specificly for Devastation and use my amazing tip to improve all your gameplaye both in PVE and PVP content,just reroll, the evoker team are trolling Devastation since it was created.

Yes, they kill you fast as any class though right now. They are a bit over tuned and we don’t have the same vers right now as we did. I suspect we will see some class tuning before season 1 to tone them down.

I haven’t had any issues with being squishy, we have plenty of self heals and Obsidian Scales as well.

EDIT: I was squishy the one time I SOMEHOW pulled a rare with 49M HP…ya, that didn’t go well at all. :smiley:

Is this in PVE or PVP cause PVE is different story. If you can survive in battlegrounds against melee classes i would like to know your secret

if I don’t have a healer I feel extremely squishy, like doing arena skirmish as dev has been unfun.

Yea sad to say but Dev is in need of some more defense. It just gets shat on by everyone

Haven’t felt it on my dev - seem tanky enough compared to most dps. Is your armory up to date? Looks like you’re still missing 5 pieces. That’s honestly a lot of stam and vers scaled up in PVP.

Then you simply don’t know how to kite. Do yourself a favor and pick up slipstream.

How do you do it then, because my hover is on a longer cd than both grip and charge. I mean verdant is strong but gotta be in range of the healer.

You press disintegrate or azure strike to put your blue slow on them and then start flying away because you have immunity to snares while hovering unless you just randomly don’t take that talent.

A good trade off to having the low defense Evoker has would be to increase our spell range from 25-yards to 40-yards— but Blizzard seems keen on keeping the range very small.

At the very least, let Evokers (in every spec) have a 35-yard range. 25-yards is practically melee range.

Update -
I was missing a few pieces of pvp honor gear when i made this, about 4 pieces and once I got all the gear i did feel a lot less squishy. Its not as bad as i made it out to be. I wouldn’t mind a talent option to reduce the CD to verdant embrace for dev and some more movement speed. Maybe an extra charge for hover would be dope. Hell just make hover infinite!! We dont need to walk! lmao xD (kidding of course) (but not really) xD

Compared to my balance druid or rogue. Dev evoker is super tanky.
2 40% walls is strong. I wouldnt be surprised if we get nerfed next week in pvp.

this, we need more range so badly. if they want to keep this melee range spell caster theme for PVE fine, make it a pvp talent or something to increase our range

We don’t need more range. We have mobility. It works. Just have to get used to it and learn it. This is from a PvE POV.

As for PvP, I cannot comment as I don’t do it. With all other casters having more range, I could see it feeling bad there.
