[Dev] Paladin Spell Hit Precision Talent

Currently, we are the only class that cannot hit their raid hit cap. Why?

We are also the only magic dealer that doesn’t benefit from Rogue Occult poison???

Can we please change Precision to also apply Spell Hit to be consistent with the rest of the SoD redesign and help mitigate this? Even shaman talents include Spell Hit along with the melee…

Currently, we need 16% spell hit to cap, but in current BiS gear, only hit 12% (including for Shockadin not just Ret). Even if Precision applied to spells, we would still be under our hit cap but at least it wouldn’t feel like an oversight where everything else was made to include spells in SoD.

I ADORE Ashbringer and the Scarlet Tier set bonuses, but if we get a resist, we can’t get our set bonuses going at the beginning of a fight for up to 7 seconds with every resist/dodge/parry LOL

shockadins can hit spell hit cap.

I thought Paladin spells went off of Melee Hit?

PS: I’m assuming the “12%” is including the Holy Specialization rune?

bro is crying and doesn’t even know how the game works

I mean you can get hit cap. It’s just not very realistic. You often drop more DPS chasing that hit than you would gain. I would recommend going into lightclub discord and asking if anyone has a 16% hit bis sim. I’m sure someone has made one.

They recently made a change to Avenger’s Shield to gain more hit when using the precision talent because it’s spell hit, so I don’t think this is true.

Ya, I just remember hearing that Judgement, while a spell, used melee hit.

Judgement is not coded as a spell. Exorcism and Avenger’s Shield are. I believe that is the distinction. (Hammer of Wrath as well, but no one uses that)
