I know its a function of skill for the most part but man it feels like not only do I flop my damage is shut down so easily. I am just tanking this week and last playing it and not really sure what to do.
They need remove pvp modifier on dragon breath or reverse mastery nerfs…
more then that they should rework entirely the mastery but i really doubt they will do itin this expac
Disintegrate channel and low range feels bad.
Everything should basically be play like a melee except for our CC and some other abilities.
I’d rework the entire spec. It feeels like an idea that never fully developed to me
So we’re considered “ranged” enough that we don’t get the health buff in ashran, but we’re so short on spell range we can’t hit any siege canons on keeps in IoC or Wintergrasp. I wish they would decide if we were melee or ranged cause this back and forth, worst of both, feels like poo in pvp.
Got to agree. With Augmentation out now, Devastation is basically dead in the water and I am highly skeptical we will see many/any/more than two changes for them (if that) ever again.
Doodoo spec now, as it was before- just even more magnified by all the Augmentation evokers. Remember when they “had” to nerf Firebreath because people were getting “1 shot” by it from that close? And now we’ve seen Ret Pallies press bubble, press 2 buttons and 100-0 entire groups of people, Druids casting Full Moon and 100-0ing people from 30-40 yards away, Rogues 1 Dancing (again LUL) and sec-teching people 100-0 in 2.5 globals.
Fun stuff. Bye Devastation, I guess.
or they should rework it entirely and put it in melee spec hybrid and rework the mastery to there no point to play devas now even all my guildie will not bring a devas in our core RBG because they are to weak and not bring enought to
i wouldnt mind if there was a talent that gave evokers 40 yard range at the cost of 1 charge of hover.
i feel useless in epic BGs until my deep breath is up, then im useless for another 60 seconds =(
it did get re-worked… you can spec aug now
I’m an incredibly lethal monster in pvp and many players have been fallen before me. I’ve even beaten several players at once on more than a few occasions. Mainly due to my gear and a general lack of understanding of what exactly a devoker can do, perhaps, but I’d like to think that I’m also unusually slick too. Definitely more so than an average devoker in the wild which mainly seems to be farmers.
I’ve spent a lot of time playing dev and I’ve learned a lot. Don’t be fooled, devastation evokers are POWERFUL. But. They’re too easily focused and interrupted. Hover is great until you run out of hover and you’re just a chicken with clipped wings. And of course the defensives are not, shall we say, an effective counter to close combat. Or ranged for that matter against other ranged classes with with a longer reach (which is to say, all other ranged). But I actually think dev is in a really good spot for those who have invested the time and practice needed to master its gameplay while dealing with these persistent faults.
If you’re just starting a devoker, reading most of these comments, and agreeing the spec is dead, then let me tell you to take a closer look at what they can do.
