Yeah but it’d probably result in us losing one of our capitols.
They’ve already had us lose Warchief and a Forsaken leader, killed off our major leaders. They’ll have one of our cities go neutral. Because we are all friends now, despite some pretty intense history.
It’s those differences though that created something interesting. Making everything just the same, everyone the same, having everyone get along and no conflict is pretty boring.
It’s the worst assimilation. Forced on us and basically meant to erase us because of BFA.
Theres still plenty of conflict. Pineapple or no pineapple on pizza. Chicago Corn Bread Deep Dish pizza vs New York Floppy pizza. Chocolate vs Vanilla vs Strawberry vs Choco/Vanilla Swirl ice cream!
C’mon dawg. Still plenty of things for us to get into slap fights over.
Which is fine. This is actually what I want too. The issue is Blizzard has turned every faction war into some attempt at world-shattering / crashing events. What we need is more realistic faction driven stories, such as competing for resources (essentially what battlegrounds were meant to fill the narrative void of) and political divides, both in and out of the factions, but also among races.
The fact that Tyrande had such major beef with the Alliance over Teldrassil but absolutely nothing came of it other than some lines of dialogue is incredibly unfortunate, and a hugely missed writing opportunity. Going in the other direction, it’s nonsensical that Lor’themar and Thalyssra’s marriage hasn’t had more of an impact on both cultures, aiming to bring them closer together. Both Thalyssra and Lor’themar are brilliant political minds and neither of them do anything with it.
There needs to be more of a focus on people and groups vs. just some major threat.
It is easy to be an angel in paradise, and the Horde rarely have the luxury of it given their circumstances.
The fact they keep trying is enough, I think. They don’t have to be their mistakes but while it doesn’t excuse them from consequence, I don’t think it stops them from being good.
The writers need to be better. There is no way I’m gonna believe Genn will be ok with us coming to Gilneas to help. He’s the one character that has maintained his hate and mistrust of us (as he should).
His beef was with us too. Because we also obeyed Garrosh’s orders. And we did pretty much the same to Nelves. He doesn’t have any reason to trust us, to like us, anything but hate.
They had Hordes of soldiers in the Forsaken heritage quest. They were all porting/ teleporting in from some remote location ( maybe the arathi in Warthin)
