Apparently it is still occupied by rogue forsaken.
So the Horde and Alliance go in there and kill them to help them get the land back.
I guess this is the same team that decided putting the tree on the dragon isles a good thing… we’re doomed.
why would they not just put the scarlet crusade occupying the land instead of the remnant of Sylvanas loyalist that Calia is wiping out
seems we are actually reclaiming the Gilneas from The Scarlet Crusade
They could do both, have the scarlet crusade and remnants of sylvanas there fighting amongst each other and we wipe both out, win win!
But I won’t object to wiping out sylvans loyalists!
and with this reclaiming gilneas its not going to be one quest and done
its going to take a few weeks with quest
Maybe a better idea to mix some leper gnomes into the rogue forces? Just so we’re not harming the forsaken population. 
Don’t forget the time lock! “Hero! We need help retaking the lands!” They scurry over to Gilneas, so a single quest most likely with a crap ton of farming. Aaaand time gate.

Why woudd scarlet crusage be there. Last I knew forsqken where there so good reason to go and wipe themout. Now I dont want the help of the horde, just let the boys in gold and blue dispense some justice upon them fiends. Let me have my faction pride PLEASE
They should do it as a weeks long quest where you reclaim land and visually see changes as you progress though.
And people who want to catch up can do side quests to join in later if they want to.
Friendship is magic 
The Forsaken better get a statue in the city square for their foundational role in reclaiming the city.
Isn’t the scarlet crusade all but wiped out at this point in time meanwhile the rogue forsaken is more recent?
This and they were more focused on “reclaiming” Lor’Daeron IIRC.

Man can I get one moment of my alliance doing something by themselves? I dont want no help I want the gold and blue banners flying not some friendship flag. Gee at least let us have it.
I mean, how do you suppose The Horde players feel about it? Or slaving away to grow the Night Elves a new tree, for that matter.

I can’t wait to skip this quest.
Why are we helping the Alliance? Doesn’t sound like a good idea to me. or is it because we are trading Gilneas for the entirety of Kalimdor?
I would rather help those forsaken keep the alliance out.
