They are offering a boost to level 58 at the moment just for people like me who want to get straight into BC and skip the vanilla grind. I started in BC so that’s the expansion I want to relive. You get a mount and some gear and a few other things to help you start on your journey into the dark portal.
Yeah I don’t blame you mainly questing as prot paladin to level 65 really took it out of me this time around…Mainly being I have over 50 characters on retail and got use to the simplicity of leveling over the years. Original wrath I had 5 level 80’s and some what decently geared in Heroic or normal raiding gear.
I believe cata i had 6 85s. MoP I went all out and had 10 90s lol.
Tbh that was all possible due to dungeon finder. I can’t stand questing anymore.
LFR Yes, LFD No.
Yeah I’ve reflected more on it. Dropping LFD is a mistake & such a glaring one I don’t think I’m going to play wotlk classic.
The phrase I remember that I met the most friends with was “LFM chaining LFD” I’ve almost never chained dungeons in classic, as the whole thing is such an ardous task. Wotlk will be DOA
huh.
people have been saying to not have group finder for years. Dont come writing about this when you KNOW it was a bad feature for the game’s health.
stop. please just stop
LFR, x-realm dungeons & the majority of character services are what created the problems we have today.
LFD was fine as you had the check & balance of not being a dick & knowing your stuff if you wanted to raid.
All removing LFD is going to push the super toxic “elite” mentality that is everpresent in wow into overdrive.
I honestly agree. The LFD system at this point is just a large social experiment at this point. A ton of folks have fond memories of wrath of the lich king when it was current and the dungeon finder addition. They were better off never adding it in the firs place though. This is exactly the expected result of the announcement.
I think i would be fine with the LFG tool being absent if blizzard would ditch the paid level boost. I mean seriously. The first 60 levels or so are going to be barren. If the target audience that blizzard is catering to is a community that hates leveling and just wants end game, So why not also include the people who love leveling but want that automated pace as well.
The first 60 levels are going to be barren. 60 through 70 is going to be nothing but death knights. And 70 through 79 is going to be a combo of all the boosted players. The death knights. And some people in between. After a couple of months, the 60 - 79 brackets will be pretty barren also.
Thats what I would do with the people I met and ended up running with them more permanently later. I met a lot of people that way and it was great. You will play with people you may not ever play with, good or bad, for better or worse but there was no cherry picking of classes/specs. It allowed everybody to play, no matter what spec.
patch is 3.3.5 so it released before the current patch it will launch on therefore put it in in prepatch those dont want it cant shut up and not use it and well have a big happy community and well just /leave those lfg channels and click a button have a blast while you spam 1 dungeon when we cleared the whole list of heroics so if thats your kink i dont judge but thats you not me
id take all versions up to WoD be the exact same pathfinder killed wow
you mean the bottom line
Yup, they just want token money I wager. But I guess they can keep letting people get boosts stuff in classic.
I don’t give a rats you know what about Wrath Classic . Now if they ever do Cata or MoP Classic sign me up . Then I can play the best version of Surv Hunter there was in the game.
The only reason they won’t do LFD in Wrath is because the level 70 boost has no restrictions on usage amount. You only can’t boost a DK and that’s it. Can 70 boost everything else.
That’s a shame, because leveling while doing dungeons was something that wrath brought up as endgame. Instead they want you to buy boosts? Or farm gold for that? Or pay for a carry? It is such a damn shame.
Dungeon finder should be available in WotLK classic day one as it is based on 3.3.5 patch. If it wont be available Blizzard should just scrap this whole classic idea and put dev resources into Retail game.
The boost is one per account just like TBC.
I’m not a fan of the boost, just pointing out they didn’t change anything to make it have no account restrictions.
disagree, dungeon finder AND the boost are not in the spirit of classic and neither should be in the game
TBH this feels like the wow equivalent of “We don’t have wifi… talk to each other, pretend it’s 1995”
I received an email survey and made my feelings clear, and i’m sure many others did too.
Removing LFD is one of the best changes they could make to WOTLK. However, I feel they should add the standard (non matchmaking) LFD tool into WOTLK to help people form groups.
Just no auto-matchmaking - limit groups to realms for community purposes.
