Dev communication on LFD in Wrath

The strat would be to get rid of Badges from the Daily Heroic if they really want to fix things. LFD was a necessity to help players with that required chore in particular on low pop realms.

Ehh this will just be a boon for the boosting community.

LFD and cross realm play killed the community, it was a 1 2 punch there. You want community? Single realm and faction only play then. In single realm, or home realm and faction only play, LFD would be okay as an OPTION I suppose, but it does erode community. Cross realm play is what really killed community.

Same I was excited to solo queue and get some tanks and have chill sessions doing wotlk dungeon runs again while trying the 3 dk tank specs and old feral druid tanking. Stuff I tried when I first played.

LFG made the game fun for me and got me into doing dungeons. And helped me level all the characters I played.

I guess I will skip out on it since I heard the boosting spam was ridiculous.

I also was looking forward to playing on the same toon all the way to MoP Classic, but this makes me want to give up on all the Classic versions entirely.

Who knows what the devs are going to take away from Cata Classic and MoP Classic because they only listen to feedback from the SoM community?

Herein lies the problem.

The WoW community has already become more min-max, and it is going to be much harder to be invited to manual groups in WotLK Classic than it was during Vanilla WotLK.

So the decision to not add DF is going to kill off WotLK Classic in 2 ways: Fewer people are going to even start WotLK Classic because it has no DF, and the people that do play are going to have trouble finding groups to run max-level content with and end up quitting.

I’m pretty sure they sent out surveys regarding Wrath Classic not long ago, so you are probably right. That’s probably where they got their numbers from.

I get the OP thinking the opposite if you look at the forums, reddit, etc. But the thing is, tons of people don’t even go to the forums, and even more read on occasion but never post. So that feedback probably was the survey that was recently sent out.

I don’t play on classic but it does seem like the way to go. Maybe they will add it in at a later patch kinda how it was originally.

feedback to devs doesnt come from the player base. thats become painfully obvious.

The thing about WoW is that they’ll never bring back “the community.” It’s gone. It’s not 2008 anymore.

Actually, that’s not an ActiBlizz issue, that’s a player issue. The path of least resistance is the one taken by the many. Humans are lazy.

Actually, it’s an ActiBlizz issue, too.

The people behind this game do nothing to foster a healthy community. They don’t invest in features that would encourage a strong community. There’s no policing of the chats. Nothing.

I mean, hell, their entire GM system is 90% automated.

All they’re doing is taking away accessibility and stepping back, hoping that the unchecked group of people they let foster into a toxic cesspool culture will create a positive experience for most, somehow.

They want a community in this game? Invest in features and support that would nurture one, like they did back in the day.

But they won’t. This is another bad move by leadership that can only seem to make bad moves.

boosts don’t make sense either but they are there.

What I meant was that ActiBlizz didn’t cause it. But yes, they can help fix it.

BTW Classic WOW Dev Team, I and the majority of others are still waiting for your evidence and proof of this “majority” that exists who want no dungeon finder in Wrath like it was originally. You know, when the game had it’s peak playerbase.

Have you thought about filing a lawsuit then? With enough of these supposed pro-flyers you can get a class action going as well for pain and suffering.

I’ve seen a ton of positive talk about this myself, so, meh.

Lfd/lfr are the worst thing to ever happen to this game.

How would killing dead the majority of realms by eliminating access to content fix anything?

Sure. We totally need to eliiminate everybody playing on any realm that isn’t a megaserver. Right now, that would bring back the horribly toxic community of vanilla, which was led by devs like Alex who despised players and routinely mocked them publicly.

I pretty much am also done with TBC and going to stop leveling my new prot paladin also since I did not level it for nothing it was meant to help queue times for LFG spam mean while mages and tanks are selling so many carries people give up on forming groups with the actual community #sickening or the neglect to low pop server players which will kill ALL low pop servers with no LFD…It’s almost like most people want what Guild wars 2 did and make 1 Mega server. You know wow wont do that anytime soon.

NOT to mention, I am forced into questing and can’t even find a group in LFG Chat due to either people talking about selling services or raids or politics. Just get me out of that dumbfounded chat and let me queue like standard Wrath.

There’s no other response to this other than condescendingly rolling my eyes and moving on.

This won’t kill anything that wasn’t already dying to begin with. Enough melodrama.

Will it be a 1 time boost like TBC? If not they’re just going to milk this xpack to the max by killing off all our low pop servers to get everyone to pay tansfers to the Top Pop simply to watch a Spamed chat with elitist all day mean while the 90%+ of the pop slowly fades away as those players ponder what happend.

Swear to god man, I can’t stand players anymore just give me a single player dungeons & raids with Ai as team mates. I’m over it.
