I have to say that coming back to the game and discovering that I’m on a virtually dead realm is slightly dampening my fun.
I understand there’s realm transfers available, etc. But when dealing with multiple characters … it’s a bit pricey. I don’t feel like being monetarily punished for happening to be on a server where I have yet to see a single person actually on. Looking for a guild is impossible, the Auction House economy is completely FUBAR. Hell I can’t even find someone to craft a standard scope so I can finish a quest.
With a live population so low on a Realm, it really should just be shut down, and a new higher population server offered to those who ARE ACTUALLY PAYING AND PLAYING.
Agreed, Detheroc really has let himself go. He’s a shadow of the server he used to be, which is ironic because he casts a rather large shadow even now.

My boss had the sameeee complaint. He would always have to initiate making a party for content. He didn’t quite understand what new/low/high/full meant so his 120’s were all on new player servers. He ended up moving two of his characters and left the other 6.
I agree for the most part - I would be in support of transferring ‘all your characters’ at a discount to paying for each one.
That way people who like a server with a low pop can keep it, but you get to move to somewhere more active.

There is no way I should have to pay to take my toons off a server where I AM THE ONLY ONE EVEN LOGGED IN.

Not when you can’t trade. Even with cross-realm there are only 25 level 120s, and a grand total of 34 people.
Unless you are Mythic Raiding your server means pretty much nothing. Yes, the AH will be busier on full servers like Proudmoore or A52, but with how “meh” professions are it isn’t like there is a whole lot of power locked behind AHs anyway.
It’s a damn shame but I think you’re stuck between a rock and a wall, big guy. This is exactly why the server transfers exist, imo. To gut you when your stranded on an island.
You might as well just reroll to a higher population server.
Or desub.
You try doing things when you can’t even trade an item or get one made for you.
I will not pay to transfer, and I will not reroll multiple characters.
I just might however cancel my 6 month sub.
What could you possibly NEED traded to you?
An item for a quest. One that I can’t make. Nor can I buy it.

It’s not like you’re helping in any way, nor could you help even if you wanted to with the quest, so why do you even care? Are you just firing off because you’re bored and my topic happened to be on top? Seems like it.
I pay for the game so I can play it, not have to skip things because I can’t get something I need, because I’m on a server where I am literally the only person on it.
Assuming this is the quest in question since it is the only quest that takes a scope. Second comment. Go plow through Gnomer on your level 85 character or whatever character you want and go get a Scope that way. Or level Engineering yourself since you clearly want this scope so bad to make a post about it.
I am simply tired of people complaining about non-issues such as server population when your server does not actually matter for 90%+ of the population.
There are 34 people across the shared realms. 25 of them are level 120.
Does that seem acceptable to you?
What do you want Blizzard to do? Randomly force people onto your realm? You are already in a connected realm cluster of 5 realms.
Don’t like it? You can pay Blizzard to forcibly move YOUR character to a realm you want, but as I have stated multiple times, your server does not matter in the world of cross realm grouping and communities, so you can do what you want with your money. Or you can whine on the forums. Your choice.
Blizzard has provided the solution to your problem for like 13 years or whatever. Except back then your server actually meant something.

Choice made. I don’t understand what you remotely want people to say. If Blizzard remotely cared about server merges they would have done them YEARS ago, but they haven’t so you are going to get radio silence from blues. I solved your scope problem. If you don’t like the realm you are on you are SOL unless you reroll your characters (best time to do it with anniversary event going on) or give Blizzard $$$. That is the harsh truth of the system and no one is going to tell you otherwise. There is no secret answer someone on the forums is going to tell you that will solve all your “problems”.
