Hi. I am having a weird issue. Details is loading, but will not show on screen. When I type /Details it shows me the version and the help list of commands. If I type a command like /details reload my enter key will not even do anything it just sits there. But when i type /details it shows stuff. I have tried other damage meters and have the same issue, they won’t show. All of my other addons work fine.
Try /details reinstall
Hi. Yeah I have tried that. When I hit the enter key after typing the /details reinstall nothing happens at all. Actually if I try to do any of the commands other than /details nothing happens when I hit the enter key. It is weird to say the least.
Install BugSack and BugGrabber. Sounds like you might be getting errors.
Ok, so I installed bugsack and !buggrabber. When my ui loads I get a message that I need buggrabber installed for bugsack to work. Buggrabber is installed…I have tried the /buggrabber command and it just says type /help for a listing of a few commands, and that’s the game commands. I have disabled every addon except for buggrabber and bugsack and still nothing when I type /buggrabber. I have to say to that I deleted my WTF and cache folders too. Nothing seems to help. I just find it really odd that DBM, Healbot, Weakauras and omnicc all work fine. It’s just the damage meters that won’t work.
Update: I deleted and reinstalled the game, took a while. The damage meters still won’t show! All other addons work fine. I am stumped and a little discouraged. I find it tough to play without a damage meter of some sort. I like to know what I am doing so I can improve…
How are you installing addons?
Also you can try this command to make errors visible
/console scriptErrors 1
Try renaming your (_WhicheverClientVersion_) AddOns Folder (to say AddOns Current) and creating a new empty AddOns folder and just place Details in it.
Start the game. (maybe try the reinstall slash command just in case if it doesn’t show up at first)
If Details shows up then something in your original AddOns folder may be messing with it like overriding a vital Details global or SavedSetting).
You can exit the game, delete the single use Addon folder and rename the original back and if Details showed up, go hunting for the offending addon.
