As title says. Is it diablist or hellfire for mythic dungeons now?
For keys I’d just play Hellcaller. In low keys, the spec is going to feel awful to begin with, so you might as well play what scales better with key level anyways.
I saw a few people messing around with Diabolist in higher keys and I dabbled a bit myself, but it just doesn’t funnel hard enough to make it worth over the raw throughput you lose by not playing HC. Even in my +17 mists, Hellcaller felt good.
Hellcaller mobility is better with less ramp up. The diabolist UI is pretty bad with your major demons often spawning at unideal time windows.
Hellcaller.
M+ mobility.
Depends a bit.
If you look at the higher-end keystones it’s all hellcaller, but i also have seen reports of people having better results at your +8~+10’s with diabolist.
Diabolist will be better for lower keys while Hellcaller excels in higher keys where mobs live longer.
Also, the mobility and general smoothing of the rotation with Hellcaller takes a lot of pressure off of you so you can put that brainpower to use for mechanics more easily. At least, that’s how it goes for me!
My personal experience in M+ has been anything below and in 10s go Diabolist. Mobs die pretty damn fast. I usually just got for straight up ST and boss damage cause every other class will excel and beat you in AoE anyway.
Hellcaller excels in 10+ and 11+ with a noticeable difference. For trash and bosses Hellcaller is pretty good in 11s and above.
Someone in the forums really tried to tell me that Hellcaller mobility is negligible. Lol.
With the current state of M+, I’d do hellcaller for higher keys where mobs are living longer or you’re doing bigger pulls.
I was originally doing diabolist because the passive aoe generation was just better early on. It was also my single target spec, so very little adjustment was needed.
After the changes though, I feel like hellcaller is the stronger choice unless you’re doing tiny keys.
They don’t know the joys of running with the tank while Dotting mobs.
