Kind of a stupid question but I’m curious. All I’ve ever used is a laptop…and to update drivers…I just go to device manager and do an automatic search for the components I want to update. Its quick and easy. When you have a desktop…can you still do that??? Or do you have to go to a bunch of different manufacturers websites and search around manually to find driver updates???
for desktops you typically go to the brand (unless you know the oem) page and download the drivers.
laptops are different depending on the part but you would typically go to the OEMs page for laptops first (Dell, Acer, HP, etc.,)

Generally Windows will do most of it automatically, outside of some specific cases you don’t need to update them if they’re working.
