It really seems like overall skill level contributes more to higher yields of mats than these talents. Putting a minimum of 35 points in to get just one avenue of the tree and still getting 1 mat returns routinely just feels awful especially for Dust when the required dust amounts has gone way up in TWW.
Also it seems like easily the starting node for each of the items should have been that multicraft now affects disenchanting for that mat given its oddball state of only affecting oils and illusion for enchanting and that the minor nodes upped multicraft rather than skill for the paltry amount of dust you get per greens most of the time.

I also noticed the more points I put in this tree the less of the random knowledge points I got.
I was at 10 / 20 / 5 / 0 in this tree and getting a knowledge point every 2nd disenchant.
Now Im 20 / 24 / 10 / 0 and Im getting zero from 25 disenchants.
Enchanting, especially disenchanting, feels bad. Especially due to them adding the multiple levels of reagents to this profession. It’s already an expensive one, as where most other players get to vendor or AH their greens/blues/epics… I have to disenchant mine to get reagents. And Now, because of the multiple levels… I have to hope to god that they increase the amount of drops, or create an alt army just to funnel greens to my main.
Luckily, I’m a Tailorer… since’s thats the only viable combination, and will just have to create hundreds of blues for myself. Sadly, still stuck on a cliff for epics though. Now I just have to hope that if I finish these trees out, from then on I’ll only have 3 star stuff. Otherwise… Ugh. Especially since, the only greens a tailorer can make are the profession equipment… which in blizzards infinite wisdom requires the same materials that I’d get from disenchanting them to make them.

The knowledge you get from disenchanting is capped per week, it woks the same way herbing and mining knowledge works.
Idk, I disenchant my greens that sell for 200g on the AH, get rank 3 dust and make over 3k profit from selling it.
Are you not using the dust for yourself or others? Just buying cheap greens off the AH, and then selling the dust back at an extreme markup?
I do this profession for myself and my friends. This multiple reagents coming to this profession really sucks. Let alone how it’s going to take me 1.5 years just to fill out this professions knowledge bars again due to how much it requires and how little you get each week.

I’m only selling the 3 star dust, using the rest for myself, disenchanting all my friend’s stuff and giving them back the mats.
Edit: knowledge is low indeed, patron orders give a hefty amount but they can be rather costly though.

I may have missed it, but do Enchanters now have a weekly quest as well? If not, did they fix the disparity of knowledge that you would get from another profession having it?
I did a weekly from the trainer that requested 20 dust, and you get knowledge from patron work orders which are basically NPC work orders, you can check the work orders on the table and search for the patron ones that give knowledge.

I did thank you. You weren’t kidding about those price tags on those patron orders. Oof. looks like something I won’t be able to do for quite some time.
Are the patron orders giving us knowledge supposed to be our equivalent to having the quest of completing so many orders like Tailoring has? I know enchanting didn’t have one during Dragonflight, and it looks like it doesn’t have one now.
Yep, it’s the equivalent, although it seems to be giving slightly more knowledge but it’s harder to do as you can’t just “cheese” it with alts requesting cheap stuff
