Remember the dance studio, that was advertised on the box for WotLK?
Why would they charge a one time $25 fee for a dye system when they can milk recolored sets for $20 a pop?
On topic, personal tabards sound like an awesome idea.
toggle option to tuck tabard in, and have secondary option to have it hang out like a loincloth as it currently is with some tmogs.

Hmm⌠perhaps a wolf head howling symbol then? Idk I havenât looked at guild tabard available crests in ages, once thought to make my own guild but it never went anywhere. Personal tabards though would be nice, more so if I can save designs and use it for multiple of my own characters as if it was like my warbandâs crest or whatever

I played Halo 2 when it first released, and many games since then that had similar design systems.
Iâm gonna tell you right now, this is a bad idea and will result in a very large number of bans, and people coming to the forums to question why their erect phallus or swastika got them banned.

They make them and Blizz ends up taking out the trash.
Blizzard is not going to let you select your own images from outside the game! They are not that daft. The Tabard system would continue to select from graphics Blizzard has in the Tabard crafting interface. Ones Blizzard approves of. Just like everything else in game we can select from.
I donât think anyone was suggesting otherwise. I certainly was not!
All we know for now is that Personal Tabard has been datamined. I HOPE we get some new graphics in the interface to select from. Upgraded graphics quality, tabard styles, borders, etc.
The Tabard system does need an upgrade but not that much of a change. heh. People are not responsible enough with names even - much less graphics.
You donât need to take images from outside the game. You pick a symbol, a pattern to go under it, then have part of the pattern the same as the symbol so it blends together and makes a silhouette of something. Donât underestimate what people will do with very simple systems.
If this is actually happening, Iâd love to see a major overhaul of the tabard creation UI. Itâs not only too small, but if youâre not of a certain race, you canât even see what the symbols are. Hopefully, some new symbols and everything Hi-res, too.

You act like guild tabards donât already exist. If someone is willing to go through that much trouble, they probably already have.
The only difference here is that you can do it outside of being a guild leader.

I hate how tabards all have that part that hangs down. I want one that just covers my upper body. then yes I would absolutely love to be able to customize a personal tabard.

Iâve always wanted something like this in addition to more design options. But I donât know why itâs apparently using the old model. Blizzard was doing great with the âfullâ models ever since Shadowlands, but theyâve added some even recently (Plunderlord, Tyrâs Guard) that use the old model for some reason. Hopefully this is just a placeholder and it will indeed use the full model, assuming this does get added.

Right! We have them but only if you are in a guild of your own, and then they all have to wear the same one. Further, we have really limited graphics options, style options, border options, no effects options, etc.
I do hope they at least add the Personal Tabard like was datamined. Super bonus points if we get a revamp to the Tabard design system and rewards system.
