oh of course, also DYEING ARMOR would be very popular, but the art boys have whined about how hard itâd be or somethingâŠ
A casino with really low odds on mounts, xmogs and toys that you can only get from the casino and the items that you get change every couple months.
Guild Hall would be pretty cool. Like the garrison but more stuff. People can donate money to erect buildings and buy things to start little mini raids and such. Have a hall with âtrophiesâ from all the completed raids your guild has done.
Now that would be an item worthy of great effort to obtain
Just think, scrounge up a crap-ton of mats to make a one-use item, and when you push the button a huge kitchen sink appears and everyone within range loses 1-2% of their account balance. Add some sort of personal cooldown so you could only get hit once a week or so. This would be the greatest RPG element Blizzard could possibly add:joy:![]()

The ability to fund think tanks and lobbyist groups which alter the political climate of Azeroth.
In game lottery, and also make an in game casino where we can phase into and enjoy playing and talking to the other players, while we spend vast quantities of gold
legion dalaran fountain
basically this haha, spend gold to throw into fountain (special items that increase drop rate)
a literal gold sink lol
Longbois are not ENOUGH?
A good gold sink that WoW currently does not have (and poses some issues with current sharding), would be world PVP Objectives like towers and keeps. It could very easily cost gold and resources to staff them with NPCâs, maintain and repair them after attacks.
Except PvPers arenât exactly rich.
Those playing the AH usually are the rich ones and likely 0 pvp interest as well.
AH Moguls gon AH Mogul, there are already built in gold sinks for them. I am not advocating removing any of those, just adding an additional method some game devs use that is not utilized in WoW.
Truly though the only way to balance any game economy is to take out exactly as much gold as is created. Transferring gold once itâs created doesnât really cause inflation. The tricky part of that is if you take out as much gold as you create itâs usually going to feel punishing to some group of players that isnât a big /wealth/ creator but has to share the burden of the gold outflux.
Thatâs a daily thing though, my suggestion is endlessly repeatable so it could potentially remove half of the gold currently in circulation in a single day.
I donât think there is a way to remove gold circulation in 1 day. There are people, me being one of them, who hang onto their gold to buy something they absolutely love. I am not bragging or showing off but I earned my 1.3 million gold and I am saving it for the day maybe Invincible or the Corrupted Ashbringer goes into the BMAH đ€·
One day i shall pry my mount from Arthasâ cold dead fingers! ONE DAY! maniacal laughter
I still farm it weekly and the RNG gods have yet to favor me
I said it had the potential, I know full well it wouldnât actually remove that much in 1 day for exactly the reason you gave.
