Deserter on Mythic+

Looks like nothing can be done. If the group is weaksauce, there is a chance impatient players would just leave ending the Mythic+ run. Oh well…

It mostly happens on harder dungeons like Shrine of the Storm or Tol Dagor. Here’s a sample run where it seems the group was fine at start until drama started on impatient group member who started to point fingers on a wipe.

Cool story?

Your poor healer… You really need to interrupt the caster boss on the council fight in shrine. 13-14 stacks is… really really bad. If you don’t have enough interrupts, then make sure you clear your stacks by running through the damage reduction rune that the melee boss drops. Otherwise, you’re in for a real rough time.

Surprised your healer kept you alive as long as they did.

As for people leaving… that’s just the nature of pugs mate. If you run with randoms, expect random results.

Nzoth got clicked to death, death by clicking

Your post is so relatable.

I like the video! I am quite interested in your action bar set-up. I put the most important spells in 1-7, healing in f4, and cc in q through e (but it changes sometimes). My UI looks very different, I will attach a photo of it:

It clearly works for you but I just don’t get how someone gets into this habit. It’s horribly inconvenient and the game has default hotkeys from level 1, it’s not like it’s a cutting edge practice to use them.

I reached Naxx40 with Lt. Commander rank wielding PvP weapons plus Naxx40 gear as a Clicker. Killed Heroic Arthas with 2 toons same as a Clicker. That was my hardcore days.

Now as a Casual, nothing changed. I beat the whole Emerald Nightmare Mythic raiding as a Clicker. Now I just do M+15 / AoTC. I wont adjust anything. I am okay with it.

Do you want me to post my 5-Masking Vision runs melting mobs from my mouse clicks? LOL.

I don’t strafe either! I usually will go forward or Disengage, haha. Is strafing crucial?

I stopped watching when I realized there was a boomkin in the group lol

What do you mean? Are boomkins known to be more dramatic or something?

No, they’re just one of the worst possible specs to bring to a key, especially shrine

13 stack of Wind and you still don’t press Countershot.

Not that I blame you tho, Interrupt has a GCD for a clicker.

Again, clearly it works for what you want to do.

But why was clicking your go-to when you started playing?

When 1 thru = hotkeys are labeled on the actionbar by default?

Even if you don’t go out of your way to rebind things all over, why not at least use the ones you could easily reach from the default set?

I understand NOW it’s what you’re comfortable with, but how did it come to that?

Standing in stuff, keyboard turning, clicking, no interrupts, I really don’t blame them

Why are they bad in Shrine keys? I felt that the Druid did ok, and I know that MM and Balance are pretty similar specs, but MM is great in Shrine keys. Is it because of their problems with CC?

Hey, free! Good for you!

  1. You pulled aggro when your bee pet chased the mobs. You could have prevented it as a hunter by using a binding shot.

  2. 12 stacks of debuff on the 2nd boss. Really. You had the green circle infront of you and didnt even try to move and cleanse. It became a 1 shot territory and no amount of healing can save that stupidity

EDIT:
Let’s break this down more shall we. 1st death you died to an easily avoidable mechanics because you’re probably not looking at it rather looking at your bar. While having turtle off CD and available to you.

You have not once used an interrupt button. You’re lucky your pally tank had most of them.

I wont be proud of doing 30k dps on a +14. Tanks do 30k+ dps and not dps who’s probably geared to the teeth.

Your 2nd death was again eating crap that is easily avoidable if you’re looking at your screen rather than on your bar. The tornado was up for a good 5 sec before you notice you’re in it.

it’s one of the best way to avoid hits. Strafling means dodging things left and right w/ minimal downtime. Which gives you time to get back dpsing.
