Is deserter supposed to increase from 15 mins to 60 when you log out? lol

No it’s not, it’s been bugged for longer than I can remember and still is.
E.g., a few days ago I left 1 shuffle in the morning, got the 15 minute deserter debuff. I afk’ed long enough for it to fall off, did another shuffle completing all 6 rounds.
I then logged off and swapped to another toon to transfer some gold, logged back onto initial toon and had 22 minute deserter debuff.
I proceeded to do something else outside of wow, came back a few hours later, logged in on the initial toon and now had 78 minute deserter debuff.
It sucks, but don’t expect any sympathy from anyone, because most will chastise you for leaving in the first place, unless you had a medical emergency, power outage, or something of that nature.
I’m proud to say I’ve never left a shuffle on purpose, on any character. I do sometimes see people leave my shuffles, but it really feels less common at higher ratings. I leveled an alt last season and had several leavers in the first few shuffles lol
I did once in DF when round one was vs. two mages. It was a quick decision.

Hah yeah before they added spell bop mages were even harder than they are now. Shuffles where my freedoms get removed immediately are suuper frustrating
