Blizzard really needs to figure out something else. Was just in a dungeon actively following the tank and was even top damage on the meter but for some unknown reason they decided to vote to kick me as afk. Now I have to wait 30 minutes to requeue for no reason.

carried a group on a alt earlier in the week and i got kicked halfway. i prevented so many wipes cause i was the only one doing mechanics and top dps. the deserter debuff is only this way because of arakara and the trinket. if people just left it alone during season 0 the deserter debuff wouldnt be as bad as a problem as it is

Should not be so toxic. Deserter buff really should be a 30 day minimum.
Yeah this was a dumb change made cause a bunch of morons obsessed over a trinket that Blizzard didnt balanced properly.

The debuff has always existed for getting kicked. The only thing that changed was for leaving a group, not getting kicked.

not true. you could get kicked and not get the debuff if enough time passed or you killed at least 1 boss
Incorrect. Kicking has always given a debuff. Leaving was the only way you didn’t get it with those “rules.”

last xpac i got kicked from a group for trolling the tank cause he said something so dumb i couldnt help myself. we were just clearing to the last boss and i got kicked. i opened up the dungeon finder and requeued up like nothing happen. also had this happen when leveling a healer and called people out for standing in fire or a tank pulling more than they can handle over the years and this is new for tww cause of the trinket not part of the rules
For LEAVING not for being kicked.
Whatever bug you ran into is just that: a bug. There are multiple examples over the expansions of people getting kicked during the last boss and getting the debuff.

Haven’t doing leveling dungeon since DF, but there were trolls who keep initiating kicking vote randomly, and ppl tend to press yes without reading the reason for kicking, even there’s 5ish sec before they can click yes.
its wild to get the same bug multiple times across multiple xpacs over years. i never left those groups either so it couldnt be leaving.
