So, I was walking through Dalaran and all, and got this thing from a Blingtron package.
Having never really understood what a Blingtron’s purpose was, or why it dropped random junk, it really took me by surprise.
Does anyone know how rare this is (I saw it can be crafted by engineers, but nothing about it dropping from Blingtron packages)?
I had one guild mate get one during MoP and that’s the only time I’ve seen it happen.
I was under the assumption it was rare, but I’m starting to think I got REALLY lucky…
It is very very lucky, I got the other engineering mount this way from a blingtron 6000 in Legion.
I also got that from Blingtron, but years ago. It’s pretty rare

Blingtron 6000’s could also drop legendary’s during Legion. I’d say you got a very rare mount drop there. Congrats!

Depends if you really want the gold, if you want to collect mounts it definitely saves the cost of buying one off the ah.
I’ve never been a fan of the goblin-style, so, I’m going to save up for some Viking themed mounts using it!
It’s probably as rare as rounding up the materials to make the engineering version. I’ve never personally seen one from the 6000 box (boy I wish) but went through the heck of making the three mounts from MoP – the Skygolem was the worst, taking a ton of Living Steel, and thirty days of right after WQ reset, making the Engineering equivalent of a transmute.
The two other mounts didn’t take the daily transmutes, but both took 12 Living Steel, 12 Spirits of Harmony and 3 Orbs of Mystery (20k Gold each from a vendor). You see all of these mounts going for ~ six digits gold each, or they were a few months back when I was rounding up the materials.

Each Blingtron should drop everything the previous one did. The only exception to that being the Encoded Messages that drop from 5000 for the achievement.

After years of farming the basic rare mounts, I can’t say I expected getting one so rare walking from one end of Dalaran to the other lol.
Kind of right and kind of wrong… While they all drop similar or some of same things (Lil Bling) they all have different loot tables according to wowhead. IE the 4000 drops some pets that the 5000 and 6000 do not. The 5000 drops Sky-bo which the 6000 does not. But then I don’t even see that mount on the drop list, so who knows…
Well, it’s official. A guild member of mine wanted to add to her collection, and went and bought it.

They dropped them like gumball machines, at least for my Hunter.
I had no idea it could drop mounts! I also don’t see any in their loot lists.
