Anyone know when we will be able to craft the Illusions Earth, Fire, Air & Frost? Thought today we would be able to receive them from the storm events, but alas nothing.
I haven’t seen a drop yet. I did, however see an Air Illusion selling on Thrall AH. I’ve killed ~5k currency worth of mobs and 5 or so of the Event rares. The Jewelcrafters I’ve spoken to that are farming the Lariat pattern are saying its from rares. From what I’ve seen, rares generally spawn at the beginning and mid-way through the events. Ill post more if I find anything out, but there doesn’t seem to be anyone posting that has actually gotten one yet.
I was able to get the Frost illusion, but cannot get any others to drop. I’ve spent the last two days just doing these farms and they aren’t dropping.
Do you know which mob dropped it by chance? Was it a rare or was it a regular infused element mob within the event area? Any information helps.
I asked someone that had posted the enchants and I was told that the rares in the events drop the patterns. I’ve only seen 2 rares spawn per event. I have no idea how rare they are, but this person had 2 of the 4 from the events.

Thank you very much for your help. You’ve been the only person I’ve gotten a reply from across all my platforms. 
They need to hotfix it so these can drop more readily. It’s absolutely stupid that these patterns are this rare - after everything else this expansion has done that’s cool and good, basically requiring people to mass farm these things and shard hop over and over for patterns is atrocious.
To be honest, I’m annoyed there is like no info on them, staying rare is fine… I’d like to be able to craft something that sells for profit for once in professions besides just farming ore and herbs.

Got fire recipe off the dragon rare, named infernius or something.

I got the Formula: Illusion: Primal Fire but i cant trade it and im not an enchanter, might be an oversight?.
Seems to be pretty rare. I’ve killed ~25 of the event rares of all types with no luck. Glad to see a trickle though. I have heard of people without enchanting getting the patterns as well, like the above poster said. Same for the jewelcrafters. It seems the rares aren’t farmable. You can kill each one once per day to receive loot. I cannot confirm this other than to say each kill after my first only gives me supplies and grays. So spare yourselves the headache.
where do you kill these rares? Where are the events?
The drop rate is as if they were highly desired mounts from mythic bosses. Someone at blizzard screwed up on these.
Infernum drops the fire recipe
Bouldron drops the earth recipe
Crystalus drops the ice recipe
Karantun drops the air recipe
Grimtotem from the raid drops the primal recipe
I am not 100% sure, as I am not aware of any database that proves otherwise, but I don’t think the recipes drop ANYWHERE else. The random elites or normal mobs in the storms don’t drop it, any rare besides the ones listed won’t drop it either.
I have been forming raid groups when one of the four spawns in my shard, to help more recipes get out there I highly recommend we all do the same!!
